Appearance
Well-trained body from years of heavy work, on and off the ship. Could be the one thing to give her away as being a Nordenfiir, most women are built broader, thicker, well toned. Skin bronzed, hair varies shades of brown caused by the sun naturally lightening her hair due to years on a ship. Full Lips, which seem to get her in more trouble then not and not in a good way. Alluring Light gray eyes.
Skills and Abilities
~TBC~
Personality
Headstrong, brash, annoyingly sarcastic at times. Can be described as cold hearted, short tempered, easily angered. Some hope that there's someone sweet, gentle and caring somewhere in there. But is there really?
Biography & Lore
Born and raised in Sittekar, a port located south of Nordengaard. Thyra, her mother, was a well known warrior of the sea. Not only in the literal meaning of warrior, having spent many months out at keeping Nordengaard safe, but also in the ways of goods. A good tradesman, fisherman, you name it. Rúna was born late one evening out at sea, it was during the labor that intense storms began. Thyra had told her crew to keep with the ship, make sure it made it through the storm and thus, they did as her mother bore her herself. The crew jokingly started calling Rúna the Storm Bringer - But was it truly a joke?
As for her father, that is a question she couldn’t answer, even to this day. According to her mother, it wasn’t important and that it had merely been a random thing that hadn’t lasted long. Chances were that the man either knew nothing about her or he simply did not care. For Rúna, she couldn’t care less either way.
She spent her years either on the sea with her mother or in Sittekar, learning everything her mother knew, as she believed it was far more important that Rúna know how to take care of herself and manage everything for herself than to rely on a man for anything. In the years that followed, she learned everything from fishing, trading, fighting - not only with weapons but with her hands as well. Hunting then skinning her kills herself. Using the pelt to make anything from clothing, to blankets. To even running a ship herself, even if it was her mothers.
The most controversial was the fact that her mother did not want her to participate in the right of passage to gain her Svalen. It had been the first thing Rúna ever fought her mother about, she couldn’t understand why she wouldn’t want her to do something so important as gaining her Svalen. However, she listened and to this day has not gained her Svalen, which she constantly regrets.
In her early 20’s Rúna decided to skip going on a trade with her mother, the first time ever. Unfortunately, Thyra was killed while out at sea during a trade gone wrong. A hired assassin had been paid to murder her mother and no one knew why. She blames herself for her mothers death with all the what if’s and the only if I had. Thyra’s ship became hers, she took up her mothers work and began sailing further and further out, exploring what else they could bring in. In truth, revenge was heavy in her heart and she wanted nothing more then to look upon the face of the one that hired the assassin and watch as their life leaves their eyes...Having nothing left to keep her at her place of birth, her home now was where ever the sea took her.. The rest of her story has yet to be written but one thing is for certain, it will only be done by her.
