Rundal
Summary of Common Knowledge
Fame: Hushed Rumors
Little is known of the man known as Rundal, leaving to question if his name is even such. Historic records speak of his appearence in various forms throughout history, and yet none of these can be identified as true or false; simply a horror story told amongst mages across the world. In legend, he uses the living to create magic, forever trapping their soul in damnation; a mortal sin in the world of magic, and a terrifying example of magical's ill bounds.
Rundal is the most recent owner of The Book of Viduus, a tome containing much forbidden knowledge on the use of utlizing not life for a magical catalyst, but the direct soul of a weak willed person. It's unknown what Rundal intended to do with such a book, but it can be assumed that his early research of the device helped him perform the Lichdom ritual he committed himself to an unknown amount of years prior; though what kind of Lich this helped create is unknown.
Never appearing in the same place with the same face, Rundal has been known to use passive illusion magic strong enough to fool even illusion mages, appearing as a man, elf, or orc wherever he pleases. When Rundal held the The Fascimile, he was known for making each copy of himself committing themselves to these illusions with ease, speaking droves to his magical potential.
In terms of personality, Rundal is an odd case, with an eccentric speech pattern and an even more flamboyant mannerism; yet Rundal changes on the crowd. A chameleon in its truest form, he looks to please when befitting, and mock when needed, a skill he likely learned through his vast lifespan. While unknown overall, Rundal is still considered a very dangerous figure, with unknown intentions and an enigmatic persona.
