Ostára
As daughter of Rûhn Telimectar, the legendary wielder of The Hammer, and his beloved poet Aiwenórë, Ostára was always destined for greatness. The only question was which of her esteemed parents she would take after the most. In the end it was perhaps fate that would decide that path. At the tender age of ten, before she had been allowed to leave the Sanctuary, her mother had died of a sudden and brutal disease. Pained by the memories of his mate, her father rejected a life in their aerie home and instead moved him and a young Thara into the barracks of The Thirteen.
Growing up surrounded by legendary heroes, Thara had an education unlike most Avariel's. Her battle training went far beyond the norm for the Legion and her father often took her on the less deadly campaigns in order for her to see and learn about the world beyond Thyasari, as though he had known that one day their people would rejoin it. Her bond with her father was deep and true, and she was often nicknamed Little Shadow by the older members of the Thirteen for how she would trail after him.
The death of The Arrow was not one of great sadness and rare indeed for one of their own; Soronúmë passed into Sleep from old age and an unwillingness to live without his mate. There was little question as to who would take the Trials.
Ostára has now been a member of The Thirteen for just over 100 years.
Wings
Ostára's wings were the inspiration for her name which in the Avariel tongue means Goddess of the Dawn. Staring at a pale pink, the feathers fade through to a stunning violet along her primaries.
There are a few tiny hints of gold and blue which echo her heritage on her fathers side, but her wings are a near inverse to her mothers, who was appropriate named after Dusk. At times Tara has caught her father staring at them with great sorrow.
The Blessing of The Arrow
As a member of The Thirteen, upon completing the trials, Tara was gifted with a unique brand that appeared down the back of her neck. Made up of an arrow and series of feathers it looks to most like an intricate tattoo and is often easy to miss.
It is this sigil that sits alongside that of The Thirteen on her golden armour.
The Arrow
Though dubbed 'The Arrow', the artefact Ostára is now custodian of is both bow and exactly 20 arrows. Golden, elegant and powerful, this bow improves the carriers eyesight, steadiness and accuracy when shooting. As such, the wielder very rarely misses a shot when aimed true.
The twenty arrows also possess unique abilities and are near indestructible. Ostára has the uncanny ability to always locate where these arrows are on any battlefield.
