No one is sure where Navaia was originally from nor how she first came to Alliria. What is known is that for the last year the Gorgon has made a home for herself within The Shallows, binding together small gangs and drawing downtrodden men and women into her nest.

Navaia is well known within the criminal world and even in the reaches beyond.

Over the last few years her name has been whispered and spoken of in both the taverns of the lower reaches and the sitting rooms of Merchant Councilors. It is well known that when one wishes for something, a true hearts desire, speaking to Navaia is often a way to get it.

The price that she asks may sometimes be simple, and sometimes be complex. It is never truly known what the Gorgon will ask as a favor, though it is almost always worth it to those who beg her favor. There are few beings who would not want their wish granted, fewer still who would deny themselves their greatest desire. Somehow Navaia is always able to fulfill what one wishes.

Just how the Gorgon achieves this no one truly knows.

Unlike most of her stature, Navaia still makes her home in the Shallows of Alliria. Her home is one of the few manors within the poor district of the city, standing as an odd and out of place building among the ramshackle abodes of the poor and downtrodden.

Of course, to keep up her place with the masses Navaia often gives away both gold and food. This has earned her much acclaim with the masses of The Shallows, and despite her inhuman appearance and status as a monster among many she is well respected with the people that surround her.

Navaia as a Gorgon retains all the magic of her peoples. She is capable of turning beings to stone and entrancing those who peer into gaze for too long. Along with this however Navaia seems capable of far more, utilizing sorcery far more potent and dangerous. It is rumored she holds patronage with a demon from beyond the realm, and the dark marks that appear on those that abide by her bargains are evidence of this.
