Miran's Theme

Miran Ulgoth has fought in the pits of Cerak At'thul, won prizes in tournaments of melee skill in Vel Anir, tests of strength in markets and fairs in Alliria and served as a bodyguard in Mallian.

She has traveled far and wide, seen a great many places, but she still cannot escape the curse of her axe. If she stays anywhere for too long, a strange, multi-armed shadow comes to haunt her. And if she doesn't feed her axe with blood, she becomes too weak to escape it.

It didn't happen all at once, but gradually. After each blood-soaked victory, she felt an instinctive need to stay close to it. And whenever she left it far from her, she could feel her vigour draining, her skin turning ashen with the pallor of sickness.

Now, it can hardly leave her side without her feeling its drain on her. And as soon as it hasn't seen blood, it begins to leech from her instead. She must feed the axe, or it will feed from her.
