Markus Glorphain, the First Son of Yakuub
Centuries ago, Markus Weisaupt was born an orphan in Alliria, growing up as a street urchin. His life growing up on the lowest rung of society saw him become hard, a darkness seeping it's way into his heart at an early age. This darkness was exploited by an ancient and powerful dark wizard named Yakuub, who found Markus and abducted him as a teenager. Young Markus was subjected to all manner of medical, scientific, and magical experiments.
Yakuub with his twisted magic saw that Markus was resilient and strong and so he imbued him with his ultimate creation, The Nether Worm. Through an arduous and painful procedure, Yakuub interred this demonic parasite into the boy's anatomy. It was designed to feed on his deepest and darkest secrets and memories, whilst gifting him with heightened intelligence and monstrous strength.
Yakuub released Markus into the world and the parasite had it's way with him. Markus walked about the world for centuries creating chaos and destruction wherever he went. His mind turned to dark pursuits in the blackest of magicks. Before long, his body became fat and bloated from the presence of the otherworldly parasite coiled around his heart. It fed on the evil that he perpetuated in the world and gave him the will to grow stronger.
Markus Glorphain has plagued both the Allirian Reach as well as the The Spine as a warlord of great infamy and power. His ambition to see all living things suffer is great and only time will tell if anything exists that can quell his hunger for bedlam.
