Appearance

Mahat is of average size and coloration for Anaphites, though rather than broad and bulky she possesses a more wiry body type. She is often clothed in Priestess garb, though has been known to wear traditional Nubydian armor when battle is certain. I'm addition to her normal attire, she is often seen wearing the facial paint typical of her status within Nubydian religion.


Skills and Abilities

As a mortuary priestess of Nubydos, Mahat is trained in their traditional schools of magic. However, she has a natural inclination towards and specialized training in Nubydian death magic. In addition to her arcane abilities, Mahat does possess more martial training. At range she prefers the use of an Anaphite great bow, though in melee she often carries a khopesh. Her skills with the bow outshine her abilities with a blade, but her magical training far outstrips the rest. She also possesses the natural, physical strength and endurance of her species


Personality

Cool and aloof, Mahat is distant to most, even family to an extent. She is almost always focused on her arcane work and tends to view non-Anaphites as beneath her. Contrary to her normal personality, she is fiery when angered, often acting first and thinking afterwards. Only two things truly annoy her: disrespect and her childhood nickname.


Biography & Lore

Born to a typical Anaphite family, she entered the clergy as soon as she displayed a gift with the nuances of Nubydian magic. She did well under the mortuary priesthood's tutelage and rose through the ranks relatively quickly, though she was deemed far too young to participate during the war between Aquilia and Nubydos which resulted in what came to be the Republic of Cipra. Over time, she displayed a knack and preference for Nubydian death magic, a more offensive form of the arcane used both in battle and in aspects of prolonging life. Using this specialization, she pushed her abilities until she attained a position as a Mortuary Priestess where she currently resides.
