Isaac Moreau
Isaac was born in the Liad city of Alven.
The middle son of a noble family, Isaac grew up within the lap of luxury. He was rarely challenged or pushed to be his best, rather coasting along on his intellect and privilege. Though he did well within his studies, it was more than clear to his tutors that he never did much more than he actually had to.
At thirteen the young man was discovered to be quite a talent in the magical arts. Soon after this Isaac was shipped off by his wealthy parents to Elbion.
It was thought that here he would be able to excel, and with his gifts become something far more than he had been before.
This hope, as it turned out, was misplaced.
Though Isaac's magic gifts were no small feat, the young man did not pursue his study with more effort than he had anything else in his life. He showed little focus or effort, and before long began to fall behind others within his same grade. In particular he formed a small rivalry with fellow student Kyril Va'Den.
The two young men often competed with one another, with Isaac falling short almost every single time the two of them matched. Eventually this became a source of major frustration for Isaac, though instead of leading to harder work it only made him seek out short cuts.
After losing competition after competition something seemingly changed.
One day Isaac appeared at a small contest with a cat entail. Quickly questioned by his fellow students around him Isaac simply introduced his companion new as 'Teekle'. As he made the introduction he wore a smile on his face and offered an overly gregarious bow.
This small animal seemed to follow Isaac down every corner and alleyway, and during the competition it seemed to cling to his side. During the course of this competition the young man easily bested every single one of his opponents. He trounced the best of his peers, and crafted counter-spells at the drop of a hat.
To his great amusement Isaac even bested Kyril, the most strident of his peers.
Obviously suspicious, the Maestars of the College called upon a council to inspect the results of the competition. Though none could quite pin-point what had happened, four of the seven Professors who stood in judgement Isaac determined that he had cheated to attain his victory.
At the moment of this pronouncement Isaac erupted in a flash of anger. His eyes turned red, his words boomed within the stone hall, and Treekle seemed to shift within his appearance. Fire surrounded him as he shouted, his voice splitting bone as he swore his vengeance and his body disappeared within a whirl of magics.
Now Isaac roams, seeking to fulfill the oath he has sworn.
