Appearance

Tall, broad-shouldered and barrel-chested, Hagan Mott looks like a keg on top of two tree trunks; that is to say, he doesn't have the appearnce of a man you'd want to fool with. His curly midnight hair and beard, centered around his big head and square jaw, gives him the sort of brooding menace that put regular folk at unease. Mott is almost always armed, armored, and scowling.

Skills and Abilities

Mott can ride and break stallions with the best of them. He is a formidable brawler and wrestler because of his physique; he can strangle a man to death if need be. But probably most importantly, he is a professional knight. He can joust, sword fight, and go to war and live to tell the tale. He has in fact already done so. He has such a foul temperament he has rage blackouts sometimes that lead to him performing incredible feats of strength.

Mott is a physical tour de force, though not one that can't be defeated with skill and finesse.

Unfortunately he can' read, and he's a notorious lightweight drinker as well. It's why he tries to abstain completely.

Personality

A spiteful, seething hater of all things living. A sociopath and murderer completely devoid of empathy. There isn't a day goes by that Mott isn't in a black mood, except when he's causing somebody else pain and misery. He is as stupid as he is malignant, selfish, a dangerous dummy who punctuates his sentences with violence. There is no soul there; no place for happiness, no spirit present. He is a hollowed out killer and less human than you or I.

Biography & Lore

Nobody knows when or why the Duke of Engleshire first knighted Hagan Mott, though one could assume it was for payment; it's not hard to imagine a guy like Mott doing some bit of dirty business on the behalf of the royal family. Nevertheless, he rose to prominence mostly through a number of dastardly acts, among them abusing prisoners, beheading a popular knight in a melee tourney, and allegedly murdering his wife for stepping out on him. The last act would've potentially been his last hadn't a clever halfling Baron ruled the murder an "accident", commuting Mott's sentence in exchange for bringing Mott into his service.

These days Sir Hagan Mott can be seen at the side of his liege lord, Baron Wendelbert Longshadow, carrying out his nefarious biddings with unapologetic violence in the town of Old Weald.
