Evadne was once a skilled and renowned mage, her mastery of shadow magic making her a powerful figure in the arcane community. In her fifteenth year, she accidentally came into possession of an ancient artefact - The Bloodstone Amulet, said to possess immense power. Her talents were well-known, but with that recognition came jealousy and intrigue.

Years passed, and word eventually spread of her mystical trinket that some believed to be the source of her power.
Unbeknownst to her, the amulet was the object of desire for a powerful and ruthless crime lord named Lucian Voss, and so she was betrayed to him. One fateful night, her younger sister Elara was taken in the effort to lure Evadne into an ambush where she was grievously wounded in the ruins of an ancient temple. Near-lifeless, Evadne was faced with a choice; serve Lucian, or die in the ruins and forfeit her sister's life.

Evadne, clinging to her own life and fearing for her sister's, reluctantly accepted Lucian's offer. He turned her, and used the amulet's dark magic to bind her, making her life inextricably tied to his own. If she didn't obey his command or tried to remove the amulet, her sister's life would be forfeit.

Under Lucian's command, Evadne became a feared and respected figure in the shadowy world. Her senses grew sharper, her body stronger and her speed and agility became that of a perfect predator. She used her blood magic to manipulate and control others, her foresight to anticipate threats, and her shadow magic to move silently through the night. Yet, despite her newfound power, she remained haunted by the memory of her betrayal and what had been stolen from her. Her ultimate goal remains unchanged: to find a way to break the bond between her and Lucian, exact revenge on the crime lord for what he had done, and to get back to her sister.
