Biography & Lore

House Orabela has for many centuries been led by a woman with the same name and face. She appears to be a human and yet seemingly has a memory long enough to remain consistent. In reality Beatrice is merely a title gained via a complicated and bloody process. Few are privilege to this knowledge which has led to an impression among outsiders that the head of house Orabela is a singular long lived woman.

The current Beatrice like her predecessors won her place through magical skill and whim of fate.
It is among the strongest held values for House Orabela that without great risk nothing of value can be gained.
Among the merchant houses they can be particularly fickle yet are among the most powerful merchant houses in Alliria.
Aside from patronage of few forms of arts, House Orabela's main trade goods are enchantments, fine tea, and cocoa.

House Orabela trains it's own members, knights and servants quite strictly.
The inner world of the Orabela estate is governed by a number of rules and magic infused contracts. It is for this reason that it is difficult for outsiders to truly understand the nature of those who grew up there.
On the occasion that one leaves the house even for temporary employment elsewhere it is mostly likely they will be unable to impart secrets of the house or their employer.
This type of discretion and skill gained from trial by fire means that such contracts are another highly sought commodity.

Having recently taken up the title of Beatrice this witch is working hard to resume the duties of head without stumbling.
