Band of Serqet
Those fortunate enough to gain possession of this golden band soon come to realize it is more than a mere trinket. From the moment the wearer dons it, no matter their forearm the band – though made of gold – forms to its wearer to fit perfectly. At first a power, like a dull vibration, can be felt from it with undoubted certainty. But over a short time, this sensation seemingly disappears as one grows accustomed to the magics held within. But to the more learned, there is an even deeper gravity that comes with wearing the band. It grants the wearer the ability to summon forth creatures, totally subservient to the wearer of the band.
One ability granted is summoning three giant scorpions, each comparable in size to a horse. Each scorpion is paired with instead of a stinger at its tails end, a cobra’s head able to devour a man in a single strike.
The second ability granted is summoning and single colossal scorpion. This great beast stands tens of meters tall, a stature rivaling that of the dragons. It lacks the snake head, but instead garners an even more devastation utility from its tail. With it, the enormous stinger at its tip driven into the ground can generate a seismic burst in its chosen location, capable of traveling great distances and undermining the strength of well-built fortifications.
Once the creatures are either released or defeated, they crumble into a heap and steam as they disintegrate into ectoplasm and evaporate. Only one or the other ability can be harnessed each day. If the creatures are released, then their physical forms depart with no impact to the user – but if they are defeated and struck down then there is a direct consequence for the wearer.
