Her eyes are of a piercing green, often attributed to the color of vibrant emeralds beneath a bright sunny day. Personality
Aalina is a loyal companion and friend, though now considered a disgraced soldier, she typically finds herself in the company of less than friendly comrades. Her reputation as a fighter however tends to fend off any would-be opportunists, eager for an easy target. Willing to lend her sword to most anyone able to pay, Aalina is the type to remain bound by her contract until completion. Unlike typical mercenaries that will betray their duty at the first sign of trouble, or for a better price, Aalina holds fast to her beliefs, claiming that honor is of utmost importance in this world, and where hers was wrongfully tainted, she will work to restore it.Biography & Lore
Aalina had been a dutiful member of the City Watch for eight years to date, having joined at eighteen years old after proving herself more than capable with a sword, even besting a number of her male peers during trial combat. Her childhood was spent as a blacksmith's apprentice, learning the craft of weapons forging and armor crafting. Having always dreamt of becoming a knight, the girl trained from the age of eight years old, practicing and learning from anyone willing to teach her. Though not an official knight, she did hold the authority of one within Alliria, after having been promoted to the Allir Keep Guard, the highest position held by the city watch. Aside from upholding the law of the land, and having the pleasure of serving the merchant council within the keep, she was afforded no additional wealth or lands commiserate with her service as a typical knight would be. Tasks befallen of her included escorting high ranking nobles, lords, ladies, or the council members themselves.This all changed when someone within the guard betrayed both her and the City Watch. A cache of weapons, armor, and gold had been stolen from both the treasury and the armory. Aalina had been the guard in charge of the investigation, however someone within the ranks framed the woman, planting the stolen property in her quarters when on duty. The council was alerted, and Aalina was stripped of rank and title as punishment. Additionally, the woman suffered thirty lashes and three months in prison. Upon her release, she made it her mission to determine who in the City Watch had betrayed her, as well as why.
