Overview

The Dragon’s Den seeks to provide for all the needs an adventurer could have, all in one place. The services it provides are blacksmithing, medical attention, an inn, and a teahouse. They also carry a list of potential bounties, jobs, and adventures for their guests to undertake, should they choose to. It's located in Alliria, on the border of the Inner City and Outer City.

Exterior

The structure itself resembles a small castle from the outside. It's four stories tall with thick walls made of gray stone. It’s spacious both in width and length. A red banner hangs on each side of the front door with the image of a gold dragon embroidered into them. There’s a sign mounted above the door with the name “Dragon’s Den” written on it.

Around the back, there's a secluded yard shielded by a wall of tall hedges. A training yard is set up there for public use. Four archery targets are set up across the north wall. While two sections of the yard have been marked off for use as sparring ground. There are also five training dummies and racks of wooden weapons.

First Floor

The west wing of the first floor is dedicated to the blacksmith shop and forge. Hidden behind thick stone walls to muffle the sound of the forge itself. It’s divided into two rooms, the first being the shop area, where racks of weapons and armors are set up. There’s a smooth stone slab on the north side of the room that acts as the counter. The symbol of a dragon is carved onto the front of the counter.

The second room is located behind this table, this is where the forge itself is set up for the blacksmith’s use. It contains everything a blacksmith could ever need to forge weapons and armor or repair other things. The forge is known as the Dragon's Head due to supposedly being built from the bones of a dragon, making it intensely resistant to heat. It's designed to resemble the mouth of a dragon.

The east wing of the first floor is where the teahouse is located. It’s a cozy place filled with cushioned furniture and colorful banners hanging from the walls. There are several windows on the southern wall and a stone fireplace on the eastern one. The counter is on the north side, next to a stage for performers. There's a door to the kitchen behind the counter. Each table is draped in a white cloth and has a candle sitting on it.

Second Floor

The inn takes up the entire second floor. There are a dozen rooms for guests to rent and stay in, should they so desire. With a single hallway connecting all of them. Six of the rooms have a double bed, while the other six have two single beds. Apart from the beds, each room has a dresser, window, and end table.

Third Floor

The clinic takes up the majority of the third floor. It's a long square-shaped room lined with a dozen beds, separated from each other by curtains. Here, adventurers with more severe injuries can stay and be treated for an extended period of time. The room is also filled with potted plants and flowers. There's a symbol of Masket, Goddess of Agriculture and Healing hanging above the door to the clinic.

Next to the clinic is a small alchemy shop, located on the east side of the second floor. It’s filled with shelves that are all stocked with potions, salves, and medicine. With a small counter at the end of the room for people to make a purchase.

Fourth Floor

This floor is off-limits to all except the staff and the owners. It consists of a break room and living area, complete with three bedrooms. It's also where the safe is housed for any daring burglars.

Services

Weapons and Armor

The blacksmith provides weapons and armor for the person who needs them. Their crafts vary in quality and are organized in terms of it. You can purchase shoddy weapons and armor for just a few coins. Or you can purchase expert crafts for a great deal of gold. One can also get their own gear repaired by the smiths there.

A wealthy enough individual can commission work from one of the smiths there. The amount of coin needed varies, depending on which blacksmith they ask.

If one has some special material they'd like to be forged into a weapon or armor. They can commission the blacksmiths there to do it and get a discount for providing the material for them.

Enchanting services can also be purchased here. That said, powerful enchantments require rare ingredients to be properly cast. Which often involves going on a quest of varying difficulty.

Teahouse

Teas of all kinds can be ordered here, all masterfully brewed by the teamaker there. You'll also find wine, pastries, stews, and sweets for sale in this place. Generous souls, or those who simply don't know how to cook, can bring the spoils of a good hunt there and have it cooked into a feast for the whole teahouse, should they so desire.

As the owners want to uphold their reputation of being high-end and classy. There are strict rules against your usual drunken antics. People are limited in how much alcohol they can consume in one night. Any drunken misdeeds may result in being banned from the establishment.

Clinic

Common ailments, poisons, and mild to moderate injuries can all be treated here for a generously low price. Anything more serious than that will likely be beyond the healer's abilities. Patients can spend days in the clinic, should their ailment be serious enough to warrant such treatment.

Alchemy Shop

Potions and salves are sold here for those who need them. They're not miracle cures, and take a while to properly treat sicknesses or wounds. Nonetheless, potions can treat the symptoms and enable one's body to better fight off sickness. While salves can stop mild or moderate bleeding.

The most effective product in the shop consists of cures to common poisons. If one wants an antidote to a rarer poison, they'll have to make a commission or fetch a special ingredient so it can be made.

Inn

The Inn provides rooms with comfortable beds for the weary traveler. It's cheap, but doesn't provide anything apart from the beds.

Training Yard

In the backyard, there's a secluded training yard where guests can exercise, train, and spar with each other. Wooden weapons and padding are provided for people who want to spar without risk of injury.

Rookie adventurers who want to learn the basics can do so by asking for training from one of the owners or other employees.

(I removed all characters other than my own because I left for a few months, and figured it'd be rude to ask people to continue involving themselves after that. But if anyone with a character who previously had a job here would like to still be involved, just let me know.)
