The Day Court
Purpose
The day Court was the first of the solar courts. A land of unnatural beauty, the Day Court prides itself on being completely and utterly perfect. What was once a territory filled with towering castles is now merely a powerful illusion. A disguise from even its own citizens, hiding the now crumbling ruins built up by its founders.
The court rarely interacts outside of its domain and as far as any of its citizens are aware, the court is completely neutral. If there were tensions brewing within the court, the web of illusions would keep all but the most important people from knowing- just as the Queen and those before her have ensured.
If one were concerned with the court, they may find themselves in a fair bit of trouble. To question reality would be to question their leaders. While the Day Court promotes deceit, it does not go unpunished. Obedience is expected and enforced. If one were to glance a little too long at a strange crack in the wall, there would be consequences. After all, the Day Court is perfect. There would never be a crack in a wall or a stone out of place…
Since the start of the Day Court, the rulers have had the task of maintaining their first queen’s vision: a bustling land of prosperity, wealth, and beauty. While some former rulers devoted their life within the boundaries of the court, the current queen has fractured the illusions, spreading her powers amongst those known as the Nexus. The Nexus can maintain the illusions as long as the queen is alive, regardless of where she is. Though, if a member of the Nexus were to die, the reality of their shard would be revealed until they could be replaced.

Culture
Above all else, the Day Court preaches perfection. How one achieves this, is not of concern. The court’s celebration of deception has given them the name “The Court of Liars”.
With the new queen, The Day Court welcomes all kinds of fae as well as the occasional mortal in its loving embrace. There is a balance to those welcome, with mortals maintaining the lowest ranking. Though they are considered lower than the lesser fae, they don’t seem to be treated differently than them. They are far and few in between and they serve their purpose within the court- most unknowingly holding a fractured piece of the illusion to maintain.

Structure
The Day Court is a court where titles are passed down to the first child of the current leader unless deemed unfit. Both men and women can inherit the crown. Spouses are not entitled to the crown should the king or queen die leaving no heir behind. Instead, it will be passed on to another person related by blood who expresses the familial affinity for illusion.

Day Court Factions
There are two factions in The Day Court. The first faction supports the maintenance of the illusions, masking the true state from the citizens and with no risk of a revolution. The second supports revealing the true state of the Day Court and rebuilding it back to its former glory.
