Kaia Thesius
Thesius Family
Unlike the Royal family and the numerous noble houses of Thanasis that hold much of the prestige and power of the City of Dragons, the Thanasis family is notable in that while they no longer have the influence or distinction they once had, they are still heralded as one of the earliest families known to have settled in Malakath, crucial to the initial settlement of the region before the great city of Thanasis shielded them all in exchange for their devotion to the winged beasts they worshipped.
In today's Thanasis, the Thesius family holds no real power. They are, however, greatly respected for their history and often consulted by the other families and houses as advisors, and the public sees them as an important historical symbol. Those born with the last name are expected to uphold the values, traditions, and leadership set by their forbearers.
Their continued presence is more cosmetic than anything else, but it's an anchor of tradition and a piece of history that all of Thanasis look to with reverence.

Personality
Often found with ink stains upon her fingers, Kaia’s first love is writing. She has endless journals filled with her observations growing up and stories upon stories. While she is at ease among social appearances required of her, she would much rather be writing or swimming in the seas with her Sea Serpent, Tempest.
Kaia is a generous, thoughtful, and brave soul but reticent about her personal affairs.

Biography & Lore
Kaia bonded with a sea serpent on a playdate at the age of 3. Earlier than both her brothers. Once bonded, she became an honorary member of House Belavyor. The main underwater city, Luana Reef, became more a home to her than her own manor within the Palace District. Though being away from her twin is hard she discovered that if close enough, she can speak to him through her mind. She and Raimond have kept this a well-guarded secret. Perhaps only they and their dragons know.
Kaia does not bear the same family pressure as that of her brother, Raimond. While she is expected to marry well, she perhaps made herself overlooked by spending most of her time in the underwater cities of Belavyor. She joined the navy at an early age. When she was 13, she was sent to the wall for a training exercise with the rest of her unit. There, she met a 14 year-old boy, Androl, whom she became fast friends with. Closer friends with him than even the other nobles she grew up with. While many people are friendly with Kaia, perhaps just because of her family name, she can only count on one hand those she considers true friends, Androl becoming one of them. She spent many years along the wall, going back and forth between the Navy Training Center, the front lines of the wall, and Ōmeyōcān between the ages of 13 and 17.
Since the age of 18 she was unable to return to The Wall, her family for once, sticking their noses in her life. Perhaps fearful of her one day having the same fate as her brother, Errune. Her station changed to be firmly placed closer to the Palace and put in the Reserves. Kaia is still trying to find her place in the Kingdom, stuck between the burden of her family name and wanting to make a difference.

Dragon
A sea serpent named Tempest. He is a dragon that balances her more serious nature, always wanting to have fun, though brave in his own right. He is protective to his human bondmate but constantly pushes her out of her comfort zone. Loves the water as much as she does. Wingless, like all sea serpents, with a long, snake-like body. He has bright blue eyes that sometimes change to the color green. Scales are also a blue-green-grey, shifting like the colors of the ocean. He can fly like most sea serpents and has the ability to change the weather.
