Born to the nomadic tribes that make their home within the mountains in the distant north of Thanasis, Odacrin is an ascendant unlike many other of his peers.

Coming not from the noble families of the great Dragon City, nor it's population at all, the tribes of the north are an altogether different animal. Once considered barbaric and savage, Oda's tribe still lived within the mountains north of Thanasis. There they grow small crops in hidden farms tended in migratory waves, herd goats, and generally eek out a simple existence.

Life among the mountains is, of course, exceptionally dangerous. Monsters and men both praying upon whatever there is to be found. At the best of times Malakath's wilds is a harrowing challenge, one that the tribes have met time and time again. Not just surviving, but thriving within the mountains to the point that over the centuries they have posed a threat to Thanasis itself.

Often, the tribes would range down from the mountains and raid into Thanasian lands. Attacks that would be met with swift rebuke from Dragon back.

The two sides would clash in brief skirmishes. The tribes never able to push out passed the edges of their mountains, and the Dragon Riders of Thanasis unable to dig their foe out from the hidden mountain caverns and paths they knew so well. This back and forth lasted for nigh on centuries, emnity and anger building, until a King with true vision took power in Thanasis.

Near a hundred years ago, as the Father of the current King rose to his station he made an offer to the tribes; peace.

For the first time, instead of war, the King offered the tribes at something more.

The bargain was a simple one, the Tribes would be allowed their mountains. They would be taxed, and they would serve within the Kings wars when it was required. In exchange? The Tribe was to be given an opportunity to join the Rising. A chance to claim the very power that had nearly broken them so many times.

Over hard debate, and days of arguing, the Tribes eventually accepted this bargain. Each of the Six tribes of Accrid swore their allegiance to the King of Thanasis personally. Binding themselves by oath and blood as was their custom. Through the following years, the tribes would send their young men and women to the Rising in hopes of collecting upon their bargain. Each time they were met with disappointment, each time their children died.

Until Odacrin was sent.

Though only twelve when he first claimed his Dragon Arkhyst, Odacrin stood as an exemplar of his people even then. The son of a Clan Chief, Oda had been taught from a young age what his purpose was to be, and his destiny was one that he took seriously.

Stoic, serious, and dangerous Oda rarely seems to make friends among his peers. Though when he does make them, they find his stern exterior simply a mask. The man beneath far more jovial than one would think, though his sense of humor darker than most.

As an Ascendant, the Barbarian is a true picture of his people. Never denying his heritage, and even now wearing the garb of his people when he could be draped in silks. He towers over most, though rarely seems to notice. Oda is an exceptional warrior, carrying a massive battle-ax that most find difficult to even lift.

Like most of his fellow tribesmen, Oda deeply believes in the Oath made by his people. He is loyal to the Royal Family, although that loyalty can sometimes present itself in...interesting ways.

Arkhyst, The Tyrant Accrid

Perhaps fittingly for his own stoic nature, Oda's bondmate is perhaps the most emotional of all Dragons; a Red.

More than that, in fact, Arkhyst is Horned-Red Dragon. Though still of the same species, Horned-Red Dragons are even more unpredictable and dangerous than their kin. Incredibly cunning, quick, and often cruel if not downright sadistic these dragons tend to be smaller than normal red dragons, but still large enough to ride.

The flame they breath is sheer shadowed black, burning hot enough to melt rock, metal, and flesh in an instant. It is also much more difficult to put out than normal dragon fire. This exceptionally dangerous flame has given these dragons the nickname of 'Hell Drakes".

Arkhyst, much like his bondmate, is an examplar of his species. Exceptionally cunning, Arkhyst is one of the more intelligent Dragons to be bonded by a Thanasian, often skulking and ranging far out beyond what others of his kind would on his own. Like many of his kind, Arkhyst is cruel, sadistic, and enjoys playing with his food. In war, he is brutal, but after the battle is done...a dragon must have its fun.

Despite this cruelty, Arkhyst's bond still holds him in check. Odacrin and his Dragon are as close as any other in Thanasis, though there is almost a constant push and pull of power between the two. Almost as though Arkhyst enjoys testing his bondmate to see if he is still strong enough to hold his leash.

Through Oda, the Draogn Tyrant of Accrid still maintains some control when in the presence of polite company. Though it is only through his bondmates hand that he is able to contorl himself.
