Monroe Cathmore
I feel myself unraveling
Suspended and strange
Listen...
No matter what you see here,
No matter what erupts from my depths
No matter what ruin comes of us,
When I am gone promise me
Promise me when you sleep,
When you dream of me
It will be in colours of white
[i see the birth and death of the universe swimming around in your eyes]
Suspended and strange
Listen...
No matter what you see here,
No matter what erupts from my depths
No matter what ruin comes of us,
When I am gone promise me
Promise me when you sleep,
When you dream of me
It will be in colours of white
[i see the birth and death of the universe swimming around in your eyes]
Past
Found the only survivor of a seaside town that was destroyed by unstoppable horrors, a young Monroe was taken to the Astenvale Monastery after her insistence on not being left behind with strangers that wished to care for her. It was rumoured she was from a rather wealthy family, and that she now was sole inheritor to a certain wealth. By keeping herself away from the home she once knew, it meant she could break from her born responsibilities and live the life she had always wished for herself: adventure and purpose.A few years spent serving as a sworn Knight,Monroe lends her trained eye with bow and arrow as her preferred method of weapon. Although not lousy with a sword, her aim always strikes true when loosed from the bow. Plagued by what she had seen in her childhood, a visit back home had left her unnerved, but it was a dark prophetic dream from her colleague that made Monroe resort to her true nature and broke her Oath to the Order.
Present
Now residing in Alliria, she was hired to teach the heirs of a well off noble family as a weapons master. Overpaid and bored, it was enough to keep her head down and start a new life unburdened by the truth she saw in her seaside home. Her outlook is to keep away from the dark, locking herself away into her quarters whenever nightfall came to pass. Sleep was not something that came easily to her, and so found the time between lunch and dinner as the time to catch up on the sleep she desperately needed.
Although her reputation preceded her, Monroe was pitched to help serve the people of the Reach as a Ranger, but an oath like that does not help her sleep at night.
The Unknown
Monroe is described to be a woman on her own mission. It is noted that although she is quick to befriend who she likes, one can never truly know her well. She always holds others at a distance, but goes forth with whiplash as she smiles, wits, and charms those around her. When faced with the burden of choice to serve herself or help another, she always skews her choice back to serving herself. Monroe does not like being told she is wrong, but when she comes round to the idea, she will have made you feel as if you were wrong for showing she was wrong in the first place. Prickly, and full of forgotten sunshine, Monroe simply likes to keep others on their toes.
