The son of a Dreadlord and the daughter of a noble house, Erodin's pedigree is unquestionable.

From an almost impossibly young age Erodin had a unique insight and understanding of his innate magics. Long before the Proctor's found him, as a small child, the would be Dreadlord practiced and actively utilized his abilities. Taking the essence of insects, small animals, and even pets and bringing them back as playthings and minions.

It did not take long for his parents to hand him to the Academy, as was decided from the moment he displayed his abilities.

From his first days in his training, Erodin proved to be an exceptional student and devotee. Believing and entirely buying into the system of Vel Anir, the young man pursued his goals with absolute single minded brutality. Knowing that as long as he did his duty, he would find great reward.

Proving himself to not only be gifted, but dedicated as well, Eordin excelled in his years at the Academy. It quickly became apparent that he would be one of the front runners of his class, and upon Graduation he was already a noted 2nd Level Dreadlord. When it came time to choose which House to serve, the decision was a simple one for the young Dreadlord; Virak.

It was there, in the service of Elise Virak's father Erich that he met his future partner and beloved; Amelie.

The two Dreadlords quickly formed a bond within their service to House Virak, finding both a capable match, and devoted confidant.

Not long after that, both Amelie and Erodin began their true ascensions in tandem. Serving House Virak while slowly building up their own bases of power, forging alliances, friendships, and basis of knowledge that would have impressed even some of the Dreadlords of old. The two fully intended on rising to the Status of Archon, then declaring themselves a Minor House that they would eventually grow into one of the Great rulers of Vel Anir.

This plan, and the years put behind it, were then sumarily destroyed by the revolution stoked by Zana and Talus. Much to the fury of both Erodin and Amelie.

Having been away during the revolution itself, the two returned to find their home changed and all the work they had done destroyed. Now needing a new path towards their desires, the two Dreadlords turned away from the methods they used before. Instead joining with Archon Gilram to ostensibly support his bid for a new Vel Anir.

Skills and Abilities

Dubbed by his peers as the 'one man army', Erodin's magic is an exceptionally powerful ability that allows him to harvest and bind a creatures essence to himself. Doing this makes him physically stronger and more durable, as well as allowing him to take on the 'aspect' of the stolen essence. However such is not the true terror of his magics.

Once consuming a creatures essence, Erodin is capable of manifesting that creature as a sort of wraith. These monstrous beings appear as ghostly versions of what they had once been in life, though are fully capable of interacting with the physical world. They are also capable of being killed or destroyed, and do not maintain any magics they might have once held.

For instance, the essence of a dead Dreadlord might retain the skill with a blade the wight held in life, but would not retain it's ability to use magics. Similarly, when taking on a wights aspect Erodin only gains natural skills. Not magics held in life.

As soon as they are manifested, the Wights begin to whither and die. The smaller the will and 'presence' within life, the shorter the wraith will last. A drunkard for instance who held little ambition in life and even less in death would only remain in physical form for a few moments at most. While other more willful beings are capable of remaining for far longer, sometimes even days.

In order to manifest these wraiths, Erodin must of course retrieve their essence. This process is quick, though stands as a battle of wills. With more powerful beings putting up far more of a contest, depending on their state of mind during the attempt.
