Skills and Abilities
(+) Strengths (+) | (-) Weaknesses (-) |
Vampiric Strength: Being a Vampire, Enca has incredible strength and reflexes and can outclass most humanoids and some creatures in brute force and agility | Bodily Strain: Despite having immense physical prowess Human bodies simply aren't designed for such feats and often times Enca's own strength can destroy her body |
Inheritance: Enca's strand of Vampirism can be passed on to offspring and grows more potent with time. Being a Third-generation Vampire Enca has greater power than her predecessors and most Vampires for that matter | Dominant Trait: With each generation, Enca's vampirism strain grows more powerful however with each increase in power the drawbacks become greater and soon the Boralaine family will most likely devolve into Feral beasts |
Vampiric Regeneration: Enca's strand of Vampirism manifests in the spinal cord and nervous system meaning that most forms of damage not directed at the spinal cord will heal in a matter of minutes or possibly even seconds | Limitations: Silver, Fire, and Enchanted Weapons have shown the ability to prevent Vampiric regeneration in any part of the body for as long as its touch remains. Even touching a piece of Silver will burn Enca terribly |
Vampiric Instincts: Enca has the preternatural ability to see straight through most objects as well as possess a "sixth sense" which alerts her to the presence and danger of others | Noticeable: When utilizing the Sixth sense Enca's eyes turn black with golden pupils and the veins in her body bulge violently for an additional thirty seconds after the ability has been deactivated |
Immortality: Vampires have an incredible lifespan and while Enca herself technically isn't immortal her lifespan is so long the difference is irrelevant | Passage of time: Enca is wary of making strong relationships as she knows she will most likely outlive any potential friends or lovers |
Intelligence: Enca thoroughly enjoys collecting new knowledge and thus is always looking for new ways to improve her intellect | Long Memory: Enca must watch what she says at all times as she has seen and witnessed certain things that most people would be unable to account for unless they were immortal |
Mark of the beast: Enca's strand of Vampirism can actually be transmitted through animal species though this usually kills them. Due to this whatever animal the disease has encountered has a chance to manifest itself in a vampire giving them animalistic traits. Enca in particular has razor-sharp teeth and claws as well as insectoid wings on her back and feathery antlers atop her head. | Mark of the Beast: While having animalistic traits can be a huge advantage in battle it's a disadvantage in almost every other category as these animalistic features such as antlers and wings cannot be switched off and remain active at all times. Furthermore, Enca's vampirism requires her to feed at least twice a day or she will go into a feral state where she kills anything and everything in her path until her thirst is satisfied |
Tolerant: While being in sunlight will cause mild discomfort Enca can exist in light without too many strikes to her strength and endurance | So what if its night: In exchange for walking in sunlight Enca cannot exist under moonlight for long without intense pain and distress |
Personality
Enca Boralaine is a stressless and carefree individual, she has become very accustomed to the fact that she has time to spare and will likely never be pressed for time which causes her to go about life taking almost nothing other than herself seriously. Despite being so informal Enca is very shrewd and intense when someone is referring to herself or her past and can even become violent if someone were to press her too hard.
Enca tends to look down on those around her and the way they live their lives often forgetting that she has a longer lifespan and has a different outlook on the world and the things she can do in it. Irritability is one of Enca's defining traits and it's hard to blame her due to all of the aches that come with being a Vampire.

Biography & Lore
Enca Boralaine is the daughter of Lora Boralaine her mother and Maddox Boralaine her father who kept her locked in the cellar of their home in fear of her vampiric abilities. For three generations the Boralaine's passed on dark power to their offspring corrupting their bloodline and instilling natural predation in their children which often caused incidents between family members.
Maddox was fully aware that his daughter was predisposed to be more powerful than he and so to limit her power Maddox kept Enca locked in the basement her arms bound and impaled with silver rods and her legs regularly broken to keep the girl from running amuck. Enca was fed blood in small amounts to keep her from turning feral and over the years it seemed she was doomed to a life in captivity unable to move, speak or even breathe the air around her. Despite all this Enca's strength and abilities grew until she was able to successfully break her chains and sneak out of the house. Enca practically crawled through the streets of Maraan her eyes feasting on all of the cities people and structures as well as the aroma of food being cooked in the street.
It was on that night Enca learned that Vampires can smell one another and in her crippled state she was powerless to stop her father from gagging her and dragging her back to their home where hell and the lake of fire awaited. From that day on Enca's limbs were removed daily and her father locked her inside an ancient casket to keep her from escaping ever again. Even then Maddox feared his daughter's power and resolved to weaken her further through endless torture a routine he committed to nightly. The pain Enca endured was unholy and her wails of pain became an urban legend with all sorts of theories arising as to what was causing such horrible noise.
Such depravity was bound to draw the attention of the law which soon launched an investigation into the Boralaine household. The secret of Boralaine Vampirism was all but confirmed but the guards demanded to check the basement to which Maddox refused profusely only drawing greater suspicion. Despite Maddox's wishes, Lora allowed the officers to enter the basement and to see the secret so closely guarded by the family for so many years. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on your outlook, the guards found Enca in a comatose state inside the coffin to which they automatically assumed the vampire was dead.
Maddox and Lora were fined for harboring a dead body and Enca was taken to the crypts to be buried only for her to awaken before she was embalmed. Enca's vampirical instincts awakened and she ran through Maraan like a vicious monster until she was forced to retreat from the city and into the wilds where her pursuers soon lost track of her.
Enca was lost, she had no friends, no family she was in a world she didn't understand and she was barely capable of walking. But she was determined. She was determined to make up for the years she lost in that basement and she's still determined to show her father that her power is not to be feared.
How could Enca love a father that had stolen so much from her? She has to. There's nothing else she can love. Despite all the trauma and unreal pain she'd endured at her father's hand, Enca knows that she will outlive most mortals she encounters leaving only her immortal family to truly understand her even if they only understand that they hate her. There's so much anger that Enca carries for her father and so much disappointment Enca carries for her mother but even that isn't enough to sway her truth and her reality is that her parents are the only constant Enca has.
Even if that constant is contempt.

Notes
Boralaine Vampirism
Enca's strain of Vampirism is an oddity as no one in her family is actually aware as to where it originated or to what extent their abilities extend. What is known of the ability is that it is most potent in the Boralaine's "Purebloods" the children of two Vampires and that Pureblooded Vampires have a tendency to be more violent than their half-blooded counterparts.
Boralaine Vampirisim has showcased the ability to manifest in animals to which they will actually gut themselves trying to drink their own blood leaving their spores to fly into the air and be breathed in by any unsuspecting soul. Once infected a person will become deathly ill to the point their skin will begin to die and turn pale and their eyes will become bloodshot until they fall into a coma-like state for the next week. Most people who reach this state will effectively be killed from this as they will remain in a coma for the rest of their life. Strangely people of Boralaine descent have boasted an immunity to the comatose side effect and instead emerge as Vampires after a week of slumber.
This strain of Vampirism has all of the normal abilities and weaknesses of normal vampirism but with a few extra side effects such as a more animalistic approach to feeding and the development of animal and insect-like features such as feathers or wings. Enca in particular has developed beast-like claws and razor-sharp teeth not exclusive to her fangs. In combat her erratic movements and quick agile twists and turns make her seem more like a rabid dog than a human especially when she decides to go on all fours or even worse fly around like a mosquito with her giant insectoid wings.
Members of the Boralaine family have also shown the ability to exist in sunlight with only small to mild discomfort which makes the fact that moonlight can harm them even more strange. Even with all this power, Boralaine Vampirism's strangest fascet is that members of the family have recounted being able to see into the lives of the animals by which the disease originally reached them. Even more disturbing is the fact that members of the family cannot enter holy temples or churches to the point their bodies will outright tense up if they come too close
The Cure
Unknown to the family Boralaine Vampirism can be cured but only in halfbloods, Pureblodded vampires cannot be cured as their disease seeps into their very DNA and genetic makeup. The only known way to cure Boralaine Vampirism is to introduce a different strand of Vampirism in which case the two forms will combat each other until one emerges victorious but then is marked as a disease by the body to which it is promptly attacked.
This is the riskest part of the procedure as once Boralaine Vampirism is found out it will attack the body indiscriminately to the point that if a person's immune system isn't strong enough they could very well die.
