Demographics
The local religion is enforced with the henotheistic religion of Heneri believers of the god creator,
Kalik.
The people of As Nineban are mostly soldiers, Fedai; archers and footmen, all trained to fight on horseback too. Some say assassins are trained on this castle as well. Overall, most of the populace are
humans,
elves and half-elves. While the inhabitants of the nearby villagers are predominantly human peasants.
Teachers and missionaries are also stationed in As Nineban and use it as their base of operation to spread their religion and assert it's dominance. The majority of people in As Nineban are male.
Most of the soldiers that join As Nineban as fresh recruits are from nearby
settlements. Therein they are vigorously trained on a daily schedule. Archery, sword-fighting, riding as well as the arts of mind like poetry, philosophy, and mathematics.
Residents
Issa is a high ranking soldier stationed within As Nineban almost year-round. He leads training of the common soldiers.
Hakim Amandim Al-Nartarpur is a scientist and doctor. He is a Vedargasian that originates from the city Nartarpur. His skin is dark, his features plump. The hair on his face is thick and black, almost raven blue in colour.
Designation
As Nineban is a spur castle located on the fringes of the Seret mountains, standing proudly over the valley that unfolds before it. Its original, predominant purpose was to protect trade routes to larger
cities and the nearby production villages. Since it's last change of leadership it now garrisons soldiers and Fedai as well as houses philosophers and religious scholars. Trade routes of enemy affiliated merchants remain protected as to gain their favour to the
Shtakmat State.
As Nineban is considered the centre of military and religious operations of the Shtakmat state.
Castle Layout
The castle has four courts, all of which lie lower than the keep, which also holds the tallest tower in the whole complex. The walls are lined with further structures and building complexes. Soldiers cannot access the inner walls via the outer walls, which also lack battlements on the inside. The lone tower can only be accessed via a secret corridor.
Wider region
The landscape is part soil and part stone waste, while the roads are covered in rough sandy soil. Most of the
plant life is adapted to semi-arid weather, thus the land is covered in brush, olive and date orchards as well as rows of cypresses that continue far off into the distance.
The landscape is dotted in settlements, smaller fortifications and defensive towers. Not all which are aligned with the Sayyiduna. One of the more prominent villages under its protection is Al Mirabet which breeds black camels.
A large river by the name Sehrud flows through the country, growing larger from it's many stormy tributaries. Sehrud itself is a tributary of the much calmer Cairou, while a smaller river flows on the other side of the mountain, which is one of the many tributaries of the Baal-Asha.
Occasionally it snows during winter in the higher elevations.
The crops that are grown in this region are dates, olives, grapes, pomegranates and millet.
Local dangers that often befall the region around As Nineban include sand wyrms, raiders from other, more established factions and giant eagles.
