Personality

Zoran, is a clever guy, perhaps a bit off putting as his nose is always in a book of spells, or writing something within his journal, those around him, may think he radiates awkwardness, due to his lack of social skills.

He is truly the opposite of his twin, who is far more outgoing then him, but what he lacks in such, Zoran makes up with his high intelligence and loyalty. The more malevolent side of him, only surfaces it seems when either someone he cares for is in danger, or anyone he thinks is being unjustly targeted.

Skills and Abilities

From birth Zoran has always been in tune with the not so savory of entities. He was always drawn to the darker side of magic and it seemed to reach out to him, whether he wanted it to or not. In time Zoran has learned that the more he calls upon his power, he will slowly lose his former self and turn into something far more sinister.

Biography & Lore

The story goes, one late night while a storm roared through the village, identical twins were born to a hard working Farmer and his wife. One twin was born screaming and welcoming the world with open arms, the other, not so much.

Cold, barely crying and on the brink of giving up, but the midwife had a plan to save this babe, and so she wrapped both babies in warm blankets together, so that the brother that was cold could, feel the hope that radiated from his sibling and help inspire the babe.

It did, by miracle it save the tot and so the brotherly bond was made.

Zoran was that babe, he was different from birth and because of that, fear of not understanding clouded villagers, and his own father, his mother though understood and welcomed the unusual in her son and loved him unconditionally.

She’d turn a blind eye, if suddenly a biscuit floated toward Zoran’s hand or, the occasional steal his brother’s toy from across the room. Zoran’s mother understood and tried to help Zoran control his gifts, as well as, help him understand them.

The sweet always has bitter that follows, the twin’s mother had suddenly come down with a deadly illness that took her from them. The village was very superstitious, and rumors of Zoran flooded the streets for their mother’s death. Zoran’s Father who loved his wife beyond anything, began to believe it as well, he slowly spiraled in alcohol and anger.

Soon, the twins found that they were the target of a very unhappy angry man, that simply wanted his life back. It all came to a tragic end, at the age of twelve, Zoran’s twin brother Somrak, had some how found himself the victim of his father’s drunken rage.

Zoran watched horrified from the stairs as his brother was being abused in a manner that through the screams and pleading of Somrak’s cry, made Zoran shutter. It could have been the blood that started to drip from Somrak’s nose, or the screams of pain that made Zoran snap, really its something that he will never truly know.

The matter that was at hand, was he did snap in a way that no one could had foreseen. As he moved in front of his brother to protect him further from any harm, he called on the deadliest of things to end what was happening.

It was a bargain that could never be undone, as his powers engulfed him in a mass of purples and blues, a demon of a vile appearance and plan, devoured their father before them, ripping him in shreds, to only leave a very broken and torn corps.

After it was done Zoran lay unconscious at his twin brothers’ feet unaware of what happened. Zoran would later awake with Somrak at his side in their room. His brother would regretfully refresh his memory about what happened and that was the day a piece of Zoran’s soul began to fall away like pedals from a rose.

The twins knew they couldn’t stay, so they tried to make the murder look as if it was a vicious animal attack and disappear from the village and started to travel from place to place together.
