Valren Constantine Damyr
Valren Constantine Damyr is the first born son of Constantine Tellen Damyr, first Councilor to the King of Oban and an integral part of the ruling class within the Great City.
Valren is the definition of a boy born with a silver spoon in his mouth, actually, more of a platinum spoon really. Growing up the young boy had quite literally anything he could ever ask for. Money, power, a mansion, all of it at his beck and call. There was nothing that could not be his.
Both his mother and father spoiled Valren rotten, granting him whatever gifts he desired and ensuring that the young lad would never be blamed for even a single bit of the mischief he wantonly caused. Because of this upbringing, Valren has ostensibly become a massive snob. From the outside he appears to be a shallow, narcissistic noble.
He often frequents Gala's and Dances with the most eligible young women of Oban. Frequently participates in the fighting tournaments(and wins), and generally just lords himself above anyone who doesn't have the proper position or standing.
Over the years Valren has cultivated an image of the Snobby Noble, with most everyone believing him to be nothing but a narcissistic fool
This image however is a complete and total lie. Though born with a Silver Spoon, Valren grew up extremely resentful of his parents wealth and what it took from them. He often spent most of his time as a child not with other nobles, but rather street urchins and servant's children. From early on he developed a deep seeded connection with the peasantry and the poor of Oban.
He recognized the plight of the people, and often tried to do his best to ensure that the ones he knew were either fed or had enough money to feed themselves.
This trend continued as he grew, though slowly he also began to understand the nature of things. People like him could never truly connect with those below them, at least not as long as society stood. Every time he tried to help in a normal way it somehow blew back on him.
Eventually Val learned to do things differently.
He embraced the noble lifestyle, doing as his father had always done and ostensibly becoming the Heir that he was supposed to be. Of course while he did this Val also did his best to undermine everything his father and the King stood for.
Val stole transport plans for gold and luxury wagons, he directly diverted money to poor houses, and lately he has been outright robbing the mansions of other nobles in the guise of a thief.
Though on the surface Val appears to be nothing more than another Nobling, he in fact lives by one creed; 'Rob from the Rich, give to the poor."
