Valdís Auðunardóttir
Appearance
Raised to be a model knight of Anathaeum, Valdís was trained from childhood to be a warrior, and she looks the part. In her human form, she is noticeably athletic and muscular. She carries herself proudly, hiding the shame of her affliction well but is riddled with scars from a lifetime of fighting. The most significant of these is the grisly bite mark from the fateful night she was cursed with lycanthropy. The discoloration from the large, warped bite wound is noticeable, but it's also easy for Valdís to shift blame onto some other monster.
In her werewolf form, Valdís is 6 inches taller than her human form. She may not look burly, but she is quite fast, easily capable of catching up to galloping horses, and is 50% stronger than her human form.

- Pursuit of Life — As with all Knights of Anathaeum, Valdís is practiced in the Pursuit of Life. She knows first aid and basic healing spells.
- Pursuit of the Loch — Dream-walking, dream-weaving, and anti-magic techniques.
- Pursuit of Death — To combat the darker forces that members of Dusk are often faced with, Valdís learned this pursuit. She is proficient with breaking curses and hexes.
- Spellsword — While many spellswords of the order pursue the flame, Valdís draws upon the loch and death. Her blade may place a hex on a foe, afflict them with pestilence, or a cut may throw the mind into disarray.
- Pursuit of the Wild — Comparatively limited in her knowledge, Valdís dabbled in this pursuit to learn how to track creatures in the wild.
- Lycanthropy — Valdís was afflicted with lycanthropy while on a mission. Her particular form of lycanthropy is completely uncontrollable without the aid of a potion or enchanted item. Even with such hypothetical items' aid, they will never enable her to transform at will. It turns her into a savage beast with significantly enhanced strength, stamina, and speed over a normal human. She is also granted enhanced senses of hearing and smell, similar to a wolf's.
Personality
- Courageous
- Guarded
- Self-doubtful
Biography & Lore
Valdís remembers little of her life in Hjerim, as her family was exiled while she was still young. As a Nord, she never had the gift of the svalen that the full-blooded Nordenfiir have. She wonders now if perhaps that would have saved her from lycanthropy, but no point in thinking about impossibilities, is there?
Her parents migrated south and arrived near Astenvale, where they offered her to the Knights of Anathaeum as a child with the hopes that one day she would restore honor to the family. Valdís did quite well as a squire, and has been a dutiful servant of the organization's ideals.
She is a member of the Dusk Sanctum as a knight sworn, and has been serving in that role for years now.
