Guide
At ChroniclesRP we love and share in the creation of new fantastic stories and locations. However, to keep our Wiki organized and to keep from being overrun we ask that before you submit a new City, Town, or Village you first RP this location. This will not only help flesh out your creation, but will also allow people a better view into the small piece of your story you are creating.
You can add a summary of your location in a paragraph here. The following list provides the key details, but can also be provided in the settlement infobox
Alliria- 500k
Vel Anir- 250k
Elbion- 250k
Molthal - 175k
Bhathairk - 150k
Belgrath - 65k
Fal'Addas - 45k
Cerak - 30k (100k+ transient)

- Name: (What is the name of your city? What do people call it?)
- Size: (How big is your city? Is it a small village? A tiny town in the middle of nowhere or a gigantic urban sprawl?)

- Location: (Where is this located? Please look at our map and give us a general area according to that.)
- Population: (Just because a city is big doesn’t mean that it has a large population. How many people actually live in your city? It doesn’t have to be an exact number, but somewhere in the ballpark. Remember this is a Fantasy setting, very few cities will have over a thousand people.)
- Government: (What type of government is your city ruled by? Is it an Autocracy, a Democracy? A single ruler or a council? Please quickly reference here, this can be expanded in the ‘background’ section.)
Demographic
(An important part of any town, city, or village is it’s demographic. Who actually lives here? Is it primarily Orcs? Dwarves? Everyone?
In this section we would like you to list or describe just what the population of your location is actually like. This can and will be incredibly important to future roleplay within your city, and you should also note how the population interacts and what it’s like on a day to day basis between the peoples found here.
This is incredibly relevant, for instance; A small village is controlled primarily by a tribe of rather large Trolls. Though it is they that make their home here, they allows some smaller races such as Goblins and even a few Orcs to live among them. However, they are hostile towards many other races whom they deem as a threat. Many cities and villages can be xenophobic, while others will be incredibly open and welcoming to foreigners.
The demographic of your city or town is the very base of the culture, and you should think carefully about just who lives here.)

Designation
(Though most cities, towns, and villages came into being as a thing of convenience, most eventually grow to hold some sort of functional identity. These identities can be summed up in quick references phrases such as; “Fortress”, “Trade City”, “Factory Town”, and many more.
In this section we ask you to flesh out your city a bit more by describing how it actually functions and survives. No matter how big or small your location is, it requires a function that actually allows it to survive. Will your village be a small stop over on a major trade route? Is it a small community that survives on subsistence farming? How do these people make money?
This is incredibly important for Cities and towns of all size, it lets the reader know just how the people there survive and is an insight into the culture of the city itself. For instance, a fortress City is likely to be incredibly military based and thus less friendly to outsiders while a trade city would rely on a steady flow of foreigners.
Please keep in mind the relative size of your city or town when doing this section, a small village for instance is unlikely to function as a Fortress.)

Description
(Different species and different cultures will ultimately produce and build in their own way. Orcs, Elves, Dwarves, and even different Human cultures will all have varying architectural styles and appearances that will reflect in the construction of their cities and towns.
In this section we would like you to describe and fully depict just what your city or town looks like. It is important that this section has as much detail as possible. This is to allow people on ChroniclesRP to properly roleplay and interact within the confines of your city and town. Don’t be afraid to go wild here. The more you describe and the more you allow your vision to show in your entry the easier it will be for others to roleplay there.
It is important to note that though different cultures have different styles you should not feel constrained by it. If your city or town is located in the middle of a trade route or has lots of outside influence, it’s very likely that not everything is going to look the same. The appearance of your city should fit your desired culture. It’s also important to remember that the function of your city will also affect its appearance, with a trade city likely being very open and filled with market squares while a Fortress City would be all tight corridors and perhaps even maze like.
In this section you can also list points of interest found within your City or Town. Remember, not just big cities have interesting things, and if you’re creating a tiny village in the mountains you can maybe name the Inn or other small points of interest and describe them to your liking!)

Background
The background of your city is about as important as could possibly be. It is in this section that we ask you to describe just how your location came into being and what it suffered through in order to land in its current state.
This section is not necessarily a complete history of your town or city, but rather an overview of the city itself. We do not expect you to add tons of historical events, but rather would like you to create an effective picture of how your city or town came into being, how it grew(or didn’t grow), and what it’s done to survive over the years. This is important in order to paint a complete picture of your location for others who will Roleplay there.
You should also make an attempt to describe more of the cities culture, government, and daily life in this section. Just as important as it’s history, a town or cities current life is integral to it actually being RP’d on Chronicles. These details will allow people to shape and create life around their character. Some questions to think about; Is your location Authoritarian? Does it allow slavery? Is there a heavy military presence? Is there free speech? Is water readily available? Is lodging easy to find?
This section is more of an Out of Character blurb than anything else. It details what we the readers should know about your Location in order to properly roleplay with them. It will give us a better picture of what we can expect and just how to use them in a narrative.)

Lore
The Lore Section of this Template is perhaps one of the most important. Here you should detail what is known of your location within the wide ranging world of Chronicles RP.
This section can be both short and long, it can be written in the style of a journal, history book, or just in a standard way. It is however important to fully convey just how your location is viewed by others and how much is known by folk at large. This will aid other writers in actually interacting with your location and further aid them in including your creation in the narrative.
One can also utilize this section to establish unique and interesting story aspects of your location, giving you an opportunity to create history from the point of view of your city and those who live there or rule it. Remember that this history is from the point of view of your location, and not necessarily the truth of the world.[1]

References
In this section you should list the references of IC roleplay to your city. As stated at the beginning of the guide, we ask you to RP out your creation before submitting the article itself.
