Appearance
Hayes is a well presented young lady, inheriting the typical physical traits of the Dorfarens. Her appearance is still that of a youthful girl, but her mother often is heard saying that the eldest daughter would eventually grow into herself fairly. Not one to use cosmetics or dress in finery, Hayes like keeping things simple and elegant when it comes to her own fashion. Her attentions lie elsewhere than to look pretty and ladylike.Skills and Abilities
Hunting has always been a past time for all generations of Dorfarens, and from a young age they are taught archery. It is not uncommon for a Dorfaren member to make their own bow and fletch their own arrows on their fifteenth birthday, a sign that they are excellent marksmen. Hayes is especially skilled in hunting in hushed conditions, and has keen instinct when in the forest.But her true talent lies in the artistic skill of architecture. Her expertise on the historical city's architecture allows her to take up a job in taking tourists around Vel Redynne and give them insight. She has also taken to designing her own buildings, homes, and plans, and was one of the designers for shelters to house a coastal town north of Redynne after nasty storms destroyed many homes.
Personality
Patient and understanding, the second eldest daughter takes after their mother the most in terms of getting her siblings to settle down and listen. Of course, she could be considered bossy if her siblings had any say, but Hayes always corrects them to say stern. Hayes enjoys keeping peace, and adores her ancestral home and it's history, and feels accomplished in her role as tour guide working for the Vel Redynne Museum of History.She loves to plan and organise, and is often one of the main organisers for the Annual Vel Redynne Autumn Ball, a masquerade event that often lures many Anirians to the historical city to dance in the streets.
Biography & Lore
The Dorfarens ancestral magic has been waning in manifesting in newer generations. Her older brother, Breyer Dorfaren, is the strongest Sealing Smith in many generations.Hayes has but a morsel of this magic, and can only manage small scale seals or once off seals. Using it often can weigh on her, but Hayes reserves her magicks for when it is needed and often to help others in need.
