Displacement Shroud: True to its name the Displacer Beasts favorite tactic is to use an illusion to displace it's true location. It might appear as a blur and proves very difficult to hit in combat, fatal blows turn out to be shallow Nick's or light cuts, or totally missed completely.

The Displacer Beast is a very territorial animal, if more than one is encountered it's usually a mated pair.
They rely on their natural ability to displace themselves, and use their four front claws, deadly fangs, and spiked shoulder tentacles to bring down their prey.

They are mostly nocturnal hunters, to use their displacement ability to its fullest extent. They prefer stealthy ambushes to full combat, but when their Cubs are involved they won't back down for anything.

When tamed and raised from a cub they make excellent guardians for magic users and assassins.
