Appearance

Callisto is lithe and meager by most measures. Standing just around average when not wearing heels, those she consorts with often tower above her. With eyes of yellow, not far from the shade of burning sulfur, her gaze can be simultaneously disarming and unnerving. Depending on her choice of clothing for the day, her hair often seems a layered mess of black locks. Perhaps it gives the appearance of being disheveled and below the Sorceress' concern. This assumption could not be further from the truth.
The Enchantress is not opposed to wearing revealing clothing when it's appropriate and donning more conservative attire when such a display would provide no value. She often wears red sash based tops, earning her the common moniker of Lady Carmine, and couples that with black attire frequently adorned with feathers of her preferred familiar. A raven. And no Sorceress is worth her mettle if not decorated in a particular fashion. For Callisto, this is often shown in various jewelry of gold and silver.

Skills and Abilities

Archmage: Callisto is a powerful mage in most regards by shear strength and stamina. While Mysticism is considered her primary strength, she dabbles in many arts. She is relentless in obtaining knowledge about the arcane magics.

Mysticism: In general, Callisto's abilities in magic would be considered middle of the road. Often considered a Jack of All Trades in magical realms, the Sorceress has one primary field in which she considers herself a specialist. The ability to control energies through the mystic magics gives her a certain power over others. This includes absorbing magic, dispelling and detecting life, ensnaring souls as a magic source, and moving objects. She has mastered soul snaring to such a degree that she can often employ it when particular individuals choose taciturnity over being forthcoming.
Elixirs and Decoctions: Callisto spends many a waking hours in the toils of elixir and potion crafting. Whether that be for a specific mission or simply for the practice of experimentation, its difficult to discern. Though it should be noted that her experience is aided by her preferred profession of Kingdom or Organization Consult. Such profession offers many specimens for refining her trade.

Personality

Callisto is selfish by almost any metric. She cares little for life unless it is her own or the life of those she deems important. Particularly interested in cultivating her own abilities, she has little concern when it comes to hurting others if that pain brings growth. She often exploits her lofty position, whether that be at Cerak or for other leaders she may consult, to promote her own experimentation. And there is never a deficit in prisoners that need persuading. While she shows a clear disdain for prisoners who fail to understand the value of speaking, the truth is that her work is fueled largely by their reluctance to give into more conservative means of interrogation.
Callisto holds most mage circles in low regard. Given her near inability to empathize with those around her, she fails to understand those who hold the power over arcane magics and then use it for the good of others. As if controlled entirely by her own goals, she cannot understand the notions of worldly betterment if that betterment doesn't benefit her or the realm of her magic.
But Callisto is not without her own worldly obsessions. She is prone to fixation, driven by sometimes immeasurable lust and want, and is impressively stubborn when pushed too hard. Should she find something, or someone, of unique capability, they may become the target of her obsession - and this is almost never a good thing.
She is not without reason and understands that all creatures are fallible, even her. But she also accepts that most are more fallible than her. With all of that said, duplicity and charm can regularly conceal these aspects that most would consider undesirable. And when that doesn't work, she can and will employ other means.

Biography

Little is known about Callisto's upbringing or the way she came about her power. Those close to her often call her Chrys, a nickname that was rumored to have been given by a parental guardian. The rumor goes on to claim the name was a result of the similarity between her eye color and the color of Chrysanthemum petals. Beyond those tidbits of information, Callisto is not particularly forthcoming about her origins.
It is suspected that she was formerly trained at the College of Elbion, though no one is able to determine the timeline of such training or how old Callisto truly is. Vanity empowers her to conceal that secret to all but a very few: those whom she can trust to keep secrets.
Sailors of the Black Bay believe Lady Carmine arrived with a particularly terrible storm, birthed from the tempest gales in the reverberating echoes of the Noxomarchy. The more superstitious believe she is an envoy of the Dark Ones, brought forth to weigh the exchange of flesh for metal. And because these rumors give her presence a sense of gravity, she does little to dispel these stories.

Current Status

Callisto serves as magical consult to the town of Cerak and to the leadership of Cerak At'Thul. Given the prevalence of slavery in the bay, this affords her ample opportunity to continue her work. When messengers call, she answers to other leadership through the continent and makes constant use of the Portal Stones for quick transportation.
She assists Kingdoms, Fiefdoms, and larger Metropolis' when the task suits her or currency is needed. And while she puts little value in the hoarding of currency, she is clearly motivated by the need for supplies for decoction crafting and elixirs. Additionally, she is motivated by a strong desire to eat.
