Appearance

With skin of moss and bark with hair akin to roots and leaves, Caelia now bears more resemblance to the forests she resides in more than the humans who she once considered her race. The remnants of her past human life remain, the garbs of a gatherer with pockets and a soft fur hood now overtaken and overgrown by flora, roots interlacing her clothing to create something new. Pouches and vials, once meant to capture small amounts of herbs and sap, are now overgrown with mushrooms and fungus, roots overwhelming their exterior and covering their entirety.

Bark coats her form, moss growing and idly hanging off like waterfalls off a mountain while her skin now longer bears the warmth and soft freckles of Caelia. Her left arm has taken the brunt of the changes, enveloped with the growing surge of plantlife, fungi and bark overtaking it to form it into a claw. Mushrooms extend off of the wooden and moss-covered claw, glowing faintly with a dull blue hue.

Skills and Abilities

Born anew, Caelia now bears new abilities once thought impossible compared to the minor skills of Caethia. Becoming overgrown with the Mycolyp had given her new gifts in the form of the ability to manipulate flora around her with astonishing precision and power, as well as the ability to sense the vague emotions of other Overgrown and the Mycolyp itself, although precise thoughts and communication is left only at the usage and perusal of the Mycolyp itself.

Phytokinesis- Caelia can bend nature to her and the Mycolyp's will, contorting and twisting it to fit their needs. Trees can kneel before her, but she can also make them stand taller than ever before as well. The Mycolyp's mushrooms are a favored target, for with their extension and growth the Mycolyp grows a small bit stronger.

Communion- She is able to sense and send general and vague emotions to other Overgrown. Beyond cryptic messages such as "Fearful" or "Enjoyment," little else is able to be read and sent. However, by being Overgrown she is also able to communicate with the Mycolyp, which is able to speak fully to her and other Overgrown.

Weakness to Flames- Fire, as one might imagine, is rather effective against Caelia, considering she is covered with flora and her main ability does revolve around plants.

Personality

Caelia is, first and foremost and above all else, loyal to the Mycolyp due to her Overgrowth. To those who wish harm on her, her brethren or the Mycolyp itself, she will rain a swift fury upon them of thorns and branches. To those who do not, however, will experience a much more peaceful and thoughtful side to her. To some, she might seem motherly. Her nature can be savage, with her giving little regard towards the death of people beyond that it has the potential to be the beginning of a new life, but she doesn't kill for sport or for enjoyment. Like the rest of the Mycolyp, to kill is to kill out of necessity, and death is simply a door closing as another opens.

Biography & Lore

Little is known of Caelia, or of the rest of the Mycolyp in fact. However, before her Overgrowth, she was known. She was known by the name of Leandra, a gatherer in a small village by the Spine. A soft-spoken individual, Leandra had little to say to her fellow residents, marking her as a secretive individual and rarely spoken to. She often tended to her garden with her home when she wasn't braving the Spine, or even worse, the Ixchel Wilds, for berries or wood. In her garden, she would plant the various herbs, mushrooms, and plants that she found in her gathering trips.

One day, as she decided to venture along the outskirts of the Ixchel Wilds, a mushroom caught her eye, hiding beneath the shade of a towering and massive tree and glowing with a hue reminiscent of the sky. She scooped it into her pouch, deciding to plant it at home. Once she did, she allowed it to grow and moved on with her duties, forgetting about the brilliantky glowing mushroom. At night, she would have strange dreams. Dreams of a creature, if it was a creature at all, whispering into her ear. "Little sapling, little seed, little speck upon the soil, tell me, what is your name?" She would respond with her name, to which the dream would end. The next night, she would dream again. "Little Caelia, hello. I am the Mycolyp. Tell me, do you wish for an end? An end so that you may finally begin?" She responded, and the next day, she awoke. However, despite waking up, she saw nothing. She reached a hand outward, touching the bark of a tree. No, it was much softer than bark. It was mushrooms, growing with a glow reminiscent of the sky. The village was covered with the fungi, and a single word came from them:
"Rise, Speaker. Rise so that your beginning may come. "
