Aldrich Stone
Appearance
Aldrich is relatively tall man always draped in multiple layers of fine, silk robes. He's fond of bold colors and, as a result, always sticks out among the constantly bustling crowds of Alliria. His well-folded attire and neatly done chestnut hair exude an aura of wealth as his money is almost always on display through his pristine and pompous walk. Never is Aldrich caught looking less than perfect, even within his own home, or mansion rather.
Skills and Abilities
Persuasion
As a member of the Merchant Council in Alliria, Aldrich has become adept in manipulation and persuasion as a means of getting what he wants. When addressing common folk, he rarely fails at persuading them to give him a number of goods and trades. With the upper class, at least those who don't do any important work other than sit in their oversized armchairs, he's found that persuasion comes at no cost whatsoever. The rich are quick to jump into being manipulated and as a rich man himself, Aldrich finds conversation with them something of a game. It's his fellow members of the Merchant Council that are hard to persuade, but simultaneously, it is them who taught him all he knows.

Personality
Aldrich is a man of two sides. For one, he's a very hardworking man who never comes across as being desperate, but always as high-achieving. His goals and plans for Alliria are clear and oftentimes smart, though much of how he thinks is centered around the betterment of Alliria. In that regard, he is small-minded and self-centered. He doesn't think much of other people and their needs, but his work toward Alliria's evolution has helped many in finding jobs and getting access to trade.
On the other hand, he is still quite young, especially for a member of the Merchant Council, and finds himself attending taverns and pubs most nights. He can be flirtatious and with a face like his, has no trouble finding company for the night. This has made somewhat of an imprint on his image, though Aldrich has never outwardly addressed it. Drinking is a pastime of his and his habit of going out most nights doesn't seem to be something he's willing to give up.

Biography & Lore
Aldrich Stone was born in the Inner City of Alliria to Mattias Stone, who was a member of the Merchant Council at the time. His father was harsh with him and expected his son to follow in his footsteps. For the entirety of his childhood, Aldrich was taught government and economics and he excelled at it. There was no doubt in both his and his father's mind that he would someday join Mattias's place among the Merchant Council. Aldrich had even met the other members as a child and became acquainted with them.
As Aldrich grew into a young adult, he had a chance encounter with a young woman in the Outer City. Call it forbidden love, but the two quickly became stricken with one another. Despite what would be his father's outright distaste of their relationship, Aldrich pursued her anyway. Forbidden their love was indeed, and Aldrich's father found out one day when he spotted the two in town. Never again did Aldrich see her and never again did he long to, for his father drilled him with the idea that the rich and the poor mingling was nothing but disgusting. This, combined with his father's sudden death at the hands of an assassin, began Aldrich's affiliation with taverns. For his internal struggle between personal belief and his father's teachings may never leave him.
