(Basically two characters get stuck in the same carriage for a ride through part of Alliria. This is a quick write. To accommodate slower writers you can make a brief ooc post to reserve the spot, and edit the post after the fact.)

Elra dropped the last herbs into her basket. The lesser alchemist would simply buy her ingredients at the market. She preferred to fetch them herself, that way she could be sure of their quality. Lucky for her, she could find the most common ingredients in the grounds just outside Alliria.

Unfortunately, it’d taken her a little too long to find everything this time. She stood and glanced up at the sky. Seeing the sun dipping lower and lower toward the horizon. Not much longer till nightfall. If she wasn’t home by sundown Tanith will mount a search party. She sighed and started to make the trek home.

Upon reentering the city Elra spotted a carriage trotting down the street. She waved the driver to a stop and smiled politely. “Fifteen silver for a ride to the Inner City?”

The driver nodded. “Hop on in. There should still be room in the back.”

Elra’s smile vanished. Still, be room? Who else was in the carriage? She sighed and begrudgingly stepped into the back.

Zufar was not normally a man who fancied himself a carriage, instead preferring to travel the distances via the expanse of the open ocean at the helm of his very own ship. But there were certain instances that called a certain level of discretion, which at times meant that he couldn’t just pull into port with one of the most infamous ships of the high seas.

Besides, an old friend was footing the bill on this particular outing, so why not enjoy himself a little? Kick back and relax on the journey into the city. Heavens know there would be no shortage of work that needed to be done once he arrived at his destination.

Still, perhaps it would have been too optimistic to have believed that the carriage ride into the city would have remain quiet and uneventful

"Well, well...good evening miss." If he felt otherwise about sharing the carriage, it would have been difficult to tell, instead an amused grin occupied his face as the lady climbed aboard. "I see the driver is trying to rip us both off, how unfortunate."

Upon an initial glance, it was clear that the fellow currently occupying the carriage was of a foreign descent, the turban that he wore was not something that was common even in a city such as Alliria. On the other hand, his clothing suggested a more maritime profession, the long tail jacket that he wore dangled off the side of his seat. In his hands was an open book, as it would have appear that the man had been reading prior to the stopping of the carriage.

It must have been some interesting reading to pass the time, but now there was clearly something that was far more interesting.

"Ah, but you know what they say: Misery loves company."

Elra regarded the stranger with a polite smile. While thinking to herself she should've only paid the driver ten silver for this shrewd move. Ah, but it's too for that now. "Ah, good evening." She awkwardly sat on the bench across from the man, a foreigner, clearly. She's never seen a local who wore a turban before.

She set her basket of herbs on her lap and cleared her throat. "Yes well, there's no reason our little trip has to be miserable, is there?" She extended her hand. "I'm Elra Mistfall, it's a pleasure."
