Just a passing interest that cropped up in my head.

What are people's thoughts regarding sci-fi/games/fiction, where parallel universes/alternate dimensions are a theme?

Bioshock Infinite, the Dark Tower series, Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse, to name a few.

"How many Spider-people are there?"

"Same as the Comic-con."

"What's Comic-con?"

Hm, I have mixed feelings. I feel in comic books its fairly common (Crisis on Infinite Earths, Spider-verse) but t gets more complicated as you try to expand out parallel universes. Good example is the Star Wars "legends" versus true canon, where legends may have happened. Unlike comic book universes, where I think there is more room to acknowledge and poke fun at one another.

I do enjoy the amount of storylines it allows to be explored. Are you going to tune into that Crisis on Infinite Earths? I am so pumped to see Tom Welling return as Clark Kent.

I like it. They open things up to new possible adventures and don't work in the standard universe. I use it in my Trek simms a lot.
