Come the rumble and the stomp, came the squires shout and the rush of footfalls. "Alarm!" the chicken livered youth cried. "Alarm, alarm!"

"Squire Fillan!"
Came the cutting call of a voice like timber flame.

The squire came still, frozen mid stride. They yelped and stood at attention, deep within the monastery's grounds, far from the outer perimeter that was but sloping hillside and weathered stones. "Captain!" The young man reported, clicked his heels together and stood spear straight. "Captain, there is a horror-"

Helena strode toward him, her white cape fluttering behind her as her antlered circlet glimmered gold beneath the bright-day sun.
"A horror?" She asked as she came to stop but a stride away from him. One hand rest on her sword's scabbard, and her eyes cast out to the field from which the squire had come. There stood a great figure, its head on a swivel, as if it searched. "Calm yourself squire, go and inform Captain Selene, and see to it that you let her know I am on the case,"

Quick bobs of the head, up and down and up and down. "Yes Syr!" he replied with a snap of the heels and a fist against the heart.

"Good," Helena said with a bow of her head, and a returned salute. The squire ran away, and the Captain pressed forward. As she strode, she made certain to keep her energies swirling about her. Each step of her stride, connecting to the well of magick that resided beneath the Monastery.

Helena would come to stand before the giant. But a small woman, dawned in armor of greens and gold. A white cape hung about her shoulders, and a red ruby seemed to burn it brilliant red at the center of her crown, betwixt golden branches that fronged out like horns of her own.

"Hail!" She called out to the giant creature that wore the face of a woman, and glittered in their own gold. A swirl of energies about her too. Like the crackle and wave of a smoldering flame. "You come to the Monestary of the Knights of Anathaeum!" Her eyes stared on, undeterred, and sure. "Be you friend, foe, or something else, great visitor?"

The earth shook, maybe not for those large folk, or perhaps the senses of Meepo were too well attuned to the dangers of the world, so experienced in their matters was he? It mattered not.

The Kobold would stretch atop his bed and kiss his lady love upon her lips. "Meepo be back." He hopped along the bed before triumphantly reaching the ground. "MAKE WAY VILLAINY! HERO COMING THROU-OOOOOOOOH!" He howled in excitement.

The donning of his armor was quick, unfettered, after years of experience in such a task. He had slain many foes, many evils, and more importantly, a dark God. Some new threat now preyed upon the peaceful village of Astenvale, his peaceful home. Meepo the Magnificent would not stand so idly by.

Armed and rearing to go, he was prepared for battle, for the plunge before the chaos. His steed was already outside, prepared for him. Saddled up and ready to go! He was off.

Some Mighty Bounds Later
Up ahead, the Captain, his niece stood alone before the great evil. Heels dug into the side of his mount, the speedy Beowoof, his war hound. He would let loose his heroic challenge in a mighty howl. "JUMP ON MY SWORD WHILE YOU CAN, EVIL, FOR MEEPO WILL NOT BE SO GENTLE!"

Pray for mercy, for you stand before ¡¡MEEPO THE MAGNIFICENT AND BEOWOOF THE QUICK!!
