Private Tales The Most Ridiculous Thief

A private roleplay only for those invited by the first writer
Ellory was so close to Finnick and she wanted him to kiss her so bad.

She was torn between wanting to prove him wrong and wanting to give in to her desires.

Luckily, he decided for her as he leaned in and captured her lips with his. It was gentle but she could feel every emotion behind it and she needed more.

"Damn you, Finnick," Ellory said after he had pulled away. "I know you are not going to try to leave me this far from my door, are you?"

Her sly smile was back as she kissed this time. Slow, gentle, and full of the same heat that hid behind him first one.

Ryder

He saw the hint of her thoughts behind her eyes, so he knew well what strings he was pulling, which ones he was toying with and teasing. So when he broke the kiss, he felt that desire, the hunger for more.

Damn you, Finnick, I know you are not going to try to leave me this far from my door, are you?

A grin would be his initial response. "If only to climb through your window." He teased playfully before she initiated the next kiss. It was gentle, with the same heat behind it as his. Oh, how that devious mind worked. When the kiss broke off, his teeth would catch her lower lip in a gentle and playful tug.

Ellory Ashford

A small noise of surprise as he bit her lip playfully. "I think we should go to your place. I didn't clean for company..." Ellory teased him, playing on what he had said she would do earlier. Her home was clean. It always was. Things being out of place drove her insane.

"But if you insist on coming inside, I suppose I will let you," Ellory smiled. "Your choice..."

Ryder

He smirked at her suggestion at her place. "Mmm.. perhaps one day." He teased, before leaning in to kiss her cheek. He would pause, allowing his warm breath to wash over neck, his voice but a whisper. "No matter, we could just add to that mess.." his lips pressed against her cheek and he gave her a gentle peck there.

As he pulled away, he paused. "Perhaps I will climb through the window.." he growled before placing a lingering kiss upon the nape of her neck.

Ellory Ashford

Shivers ran down her spine at his words and his touch. Gods damn this man for eternity, Ellory thought as she fell a little more into his trap with every passing minute.

“I think it would be better if you just used the front door this time,” she quipped and started towards her door. Her hand was outstretched for him to take it if he followed.

Ryder

A hand rested at her hip, so he could feel the shivers he knew he was inducing in her, that confident grin returning to his face as she spoke. She would take a few steps towards the door, before his hand took ahold of hers and he pulled her back to him, into a spin.

His free hand would catch her at her waist, stopping her just in time for their bodies to be pressed against each other. "After you, my dear." The hand at her hip would push her outward, gently back to the door while he held onto her hand with his other hand.

Ellory laughed out as he spun her. When he pushed her out again, she just smiled back at him and pulled a key from her pocket with her free hand.

She opened the door and stepped inside her house. She took a few moments to light some new candles so there was a soft glow about the sitting room.

“I may have lied about my house being messy,” Ellory said with a sly smile. “But I think you already knew that,” another smile as she shook a match to put the flame out.

Ryder

Oh that laugh. Such a good sign. Ryder favored her with a smirk as she looked back, guiding him into her den. She took the liberty to set the mood with a few scented candles.

"Whaaaat? Not dirty?" He teased. "I never would have imagined." A sly laugh followed. "In order to preserve your good word and honor, ill be sure to make your home messy."

“Please don’t, I would rather not spend my day off cleaning up after you,” Ellory smirked at him as she walked over to her couch.

“It was bad enough that I had to rearrange my office furniture today,” the comment was more to herself than anyone else.

“Would you like a drink? I have some wine.”

Ryder

"As you wish, i won't make anything.. too messy." He teased before joining her and taking a seat on the couch.

"Oh? What brought about that? A captain telling you to try something new? Or just a personal choice to refresh the space?" He asked before nodding. "A drink would be good, I can do some wine."

Ellory Ashford

“Remember that thief I told you about?” Ellory asked as she walked into the kitchen and started to open a few cabinets.

“Well, he decided to rearrange my office last night so I must be getting close to him or he is just an arrogant asshole.”

She walked back into the living room with two glasses in one hand and a bottle of wine in the other. She set the glasses down and poured a generous amount of the deep red liquid in each.

“Now he is just taunting me and it’s pissing me off…” Ellory handed Finnick his glass. “Sorry, work stuff is boring.”

Ryder

"Oh yeah, you think he might have been the one I saw on the rooftops?" He asked as she disappeared into the kitchen. When she emerged, he would stifle a laugh. "You're telling me, that this thief is really just an angry interior decorator?"

She would set down the glasses and fill them generously and when she handed Finnick his, he would take the wine from her and take a pull from it. "How would a thief even know you were investigating him? Or even which office is yours?"

As she sat down, he would guide her back so that she could lay across his lap and rest her upper back against his torso. One arm wrapped about her waist, while the other hand swirled his glass of wine. "Thank you for the drink." He growled into her ear before kissing her neck.

Ellory Ashford

Ellory glowered at his comments about angry interior decorator. Of course he found this hilarious. Anyone else in the world would find this hilarious.

A fucking thief that rearranges furniture is the most ridiculous thing in the world.

“I don’t know how he knows anything but somehow he does or there is an angry interior decorator that I pissed off along the line,” her words were playful but there was an underlying frustration in her tone.

Some of the frustration eased as she laid against Finnick. “You’re welcome,” she breathed out and closed her eyes as he kissed her neck.

This man was going to be the death of her. She just knew it.

He noticed the glower and his internal joy skyrocketed, but he would manage a much more neutral expression, even managed to curb his laughter. She would test that resolve on her own when she cracked a joke at her own expense. It was both playful, and yet extremely frustrated.

I don’t know how he knows anything but somehow he does or there is an angry interior decorator that I pissed off along the line.

"Those Anirian Guard decorators, ya just can't trust em." He would add with a smile. "Perhaps I can help you overcome this... headache of a problem.." he mused before following it up with another kiss to her neck, his hand that had pulled her close would begin to wander on its own.

Ellory Ashford

"Apparently," Ellory said with a small huff.

She could tell that she was not going to be able to drink much wine with Finnick holding her closely and stealing her attention away. She took a sip from the glass then leaned over to set it on the low table next to the couch.

"Finnick..." Ellory said softly as she felt his hands running down her back. "The only true way to get rid of the headache is to catch the thief..."

Ryder

Oh that small huff.. delicious. His antics had begun to worm their way into her soul and now, now she was haunted by his every move. Both as Ryder, and as Finnick. He watched her then shift so she could set her wine glass down.

Finnick... The only true way to get rid of the headache is to catch the thief...

Such a huntress. She wanted to catch the thief.. he could arrange that. "Or... what if you... left. Decided to forego the case altogether.. come with me to Alliria."

Ellory Ashford

Ellory looked at Finnick like he had lost his damn mind. The suggestion was completely ridiculous. She couldn’t just leave. She had a real job that required her to be there everyday.

Oh yeah…and she barely knew the man.

“You are insane! I barely know you and you want me to run off with you?”

Ellory laughed and shook her head at the thought.

Ryder

He just grinned at her outburst. "When was the last time that you actually lived? That you didn't abide by the daily schedule set forth for you by the life you were born into. The life, that was expected of you?"

He would laugh. "And not run off with me. Just run off. If you happen to want to go where I go, I wouldn't hold it against you, I can show you some great places. But everyone, even sexy guards, need to take a week or two to themselves."

“I…” Ellory stopped. She couldn’t remember the last time she had a real vacation and actually left the area. She couldn’t just leave in the middle of a case though. That would be insane.

Wasn’t it?

“So what great places would you show me?”

She wasn’t going to say okay without a little more questioning. Wait…she wasn’t going to say okay at all…right?

Ryder

She started to defend against his first remark, before quieting, and from the look on her face, he knew she had little to say. Little of a remark to make. If she had, it would have been a swift clap back.

So what great places would you show me?

"The beaches of Alliria, the shores of Elbion, hells perhaps even the foothills of the Spine. Anywhere that adventure can be found."

Ellory liked the sound of all of that but she couldn’t just leave. She couldn’t. This was her life and she loved her job…most of the time.

“Those sound like longer trips than just going on a vacation, Finnick,” she remarked and took a sip of her wine. “That sounds like leaving Vel Anir and this life all together…”

It did sound nice though. Nice and tempting. No…that was insane!

Ryder

Those sound like longer trips than just going on a vacation, Finnick. That sounds like leaving Vel Anir and this life all together…

"Nonsense! Hire a mage to use a portal stone for us. Bing, bang, boom. Travel is cut down by half. Take two weeks to unwind then come back." It was as if she never traveled before!

Ellory hadn’t ever traveled before. She was loathe to admit that though. Finnick was already being a smug shit with her just thinking about it.

“I have never used a portal stone before,” she said tentatively. “But…yes! Let’s do it!”

She needed to get away from the city and the stupid thief. She wanted to experience something new.

She wanted to go with him. It was such a strange feeling and it was not the alcohol talking either.

Ryder

I have never used a portal stone before, but…yes! Let’s do it!

She was in. She would forget about the thief for a time. He could gain her trust, gain insight, and the expansion south, could begin. He smiled at her before leaning forward, his lips pressing against hers, gently.

Pulling back he would smile. "We'll need time to prepare, but I can't wait."

Ellory savored the brief kiss even as she felt like she was loosing her mind. She was doing something absolutely insane for the first time in her life with a man she barely knew. It was wild. It was unknown. It was exciting.

“How much time? I, of course, have to let my office know that I will be gone for two weeks,” she said with a brilliant smile.

She felt like she was practically bouncing in anticipation and excitement now.
