Zaarin
Zaarin was the heir to the Maero throne. But a coup created by members of the chieftain council led to the assassination of his father, the king, and his exile. Zaarin now finds himself in a foreign land, away from home, and without a way to reclaim his birthright.
Appearance
Zaarin cuts a tall figure, even for an elf. Some might mistake him for an orc if he was obscured entirely from head to toe. Despite his robust build, he maintains a youthful visage with flawless alabaster skin and snow-white hair matched with clear, blue eyes.
Zaarin often wears light clothing, having little need for armor. He frequently reveals his gills beneath his rib cage.

Skills and Abilities
Enhanced Maero Physiology: Zaarin can breathe normally on air and underwater as a sea elf. He is also much more adapted to the ocean and its depths, excellent at swimming, and able to handle the heavy pressure of the deeper sea levels. He also boasts exceptional physical abilities such as strength and speed. Zaarin possesses musculature and skin durable enough to withstand a megalodon's bite without a scratch, strength that allows him to lift a galleon's anchors without strain, and speed fast enough to keep up with sailfish with little effort.
Mark of the Toa- A tatau given to the 'Toa' the king's personal retinue of elite warriors. Not only does it serve to signify the wearer's martial prowess, it also protects from mind-controlling abilities and spells, this was more of a precaution to ensure that the people closest to the king could not be forced into going against the kingdom.
Mamaragan- The Tempest : Zaarin forged a pact with Mamaragan, what the Maero call a Raiju, or lightning spirit. Zaarin allows Mamaragan to feed on his magical reserves, and in return Zaarin is able to use Mamaragan's lightning based powers. Usage is limited as Zaarin must use his magical reserves to activate these abilities, if without magical reserves, Zaarin can substitute his physical stamina, and if unable to spend either can use his lifeforce, each one creating a stronger effect than the last.
When not in use, Mamaragan takes on the form of a mundane tachi, with a black corded hilt accompanied by a golden guard and pommel.
Swordsmanship: Zaarin has spent decades honing his ability with the blade. He wields the tachi masterfully, a single bladed longsword with eastern roots. Ever since his childhood he has been taught by the most prolific masters of his tribe, as well as masters from the outside world who have gained the trust of the Maero.

Personality
Brash, frank and full of energy, Zaarin is everything but refined. He can be hot-headed at times and burn with a fiery temper but he also carries with him a deep code of honor and a sense of compassion for his friends. Much like a storm, on the outside his attitude can be chaotic and wild but at the center where it is calmest, he can be thoughtful and relaxed. He has a strong sense of justice, and an almost unshakeable will, fearless in the face of overwhelming odds.
Biography & Lore
