Veronica(Ronnie) 'The Sea Dog' Hathers
Echoes and boisterous cheers celebrating a successful raid resonated throughout the tavern. The clinking of wooden mugs and stomping of feet only added to the lively event. The bell hanging above the door dinged quietly and only a few heads turned in response to the newest customer, not particularly caring about them.
Amongst the burly, bearded men a smaller figure wove through the drunken crowd. Small, leather boots knock against the floor not bothering to avoid the spilled ale and beer. A few men crane their necks, making some rather lewd comments at the woman with white hair. She ignored them, her steely green eyes were set on a large man at the back of the bar.
A few drunken stray hands reached out to the woman but instantly recoiled as her dagger gleamed in the low light of the tavern. The man who she made a beeline for remained oblivious despite the fact that his friends continually tried to alert him of the small, yet intimidating woman. He simply laughed, spit dribbling down into his graying beard. As she stood behind him, arms crossed her petite shadow finally was what caught his attention.
Turning around lazily, eyes half-lidded, the man hiccuped. "Look hon, if you want you can wait for me out in the back, but-" he stopped mid-sentence upon noticing her attire, his face paling, "oh. Ronnie." His voice gently shook obviously unnerved by her appearance at the tavern. "What're you doing here?" He shifted uncomfortably, sitting up straight.
The woman known as Ronnie squatted down, a smug smirk on her face. Her wild hair framed her face, the bracelets upon her wrist quietly rattling. "Well, you see here Naver. I never got my payment. I believe it was one whole cargo-load full of elven slaves wasn't it?"
"Well, you see Ronnie, that wasn't the deal. You said half a load full, and I swear that I'll get it to you. We just stopped here for a few days." He glanced around nervously, hand reaching down to grab hold of his weapon. Ronnie smiled, her hand resting gently on his.
"Look here Naver, I'm a reasonable woman right?" She watched him carefully as he nodded reluctantly. "Well, you promised me this 15 days ago, remember that? You promised that it wouldn't take more than a few days. Alright? So now, it's a full cargo load." She stood up, stretching her arms.
"Well Naver I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and I'll see you in two days."
"Two days? Ronnie, that-
"Two days Naver, got it?" Her face twisted into a snarl before reverting back to her viciously fake smile. "I'll be in the normal meeting place." Without a word Ronnie walked out of the tavern, leaving a stunned and somewhat frightened trail of silence before her. What kind of woman was able to walk into a tavern full of drunken pirates and come out untouched? What woman threatened a pirate captain? What woman was so bold?
As Ronnie walked back to her ship she jerked her head, shouting orders at her crew. "Burn them up." Without hesitation, her crew member threw a burning torch onto the neighboring harbored ship, which happened to be Naver's. A smirk rested upon her face, the Sea Dog had struck again.

Background & Lore
Not that much is known about Ronnie, but it can be assumed that her father was a traveling pirate who landed at Cerak. Her mother was most likely a local prostitute and the union resulted in Ronnie. Once again, her childhood and what happened there has been buried deep within the cargo and crimes of the dark city she lived in. It is said that she was taught by the most infamous pirates, however, there is no proof that she was.
Ronnie has become a common antagonist in pirate legend and lore, earning her the comical title of the 'Sea Dog.' She is said to be unfair, and not one to follow through on her promises. One tall tale tells that Ronnie is the reincarnation of a mermaid, who was murdered by pirates and has now come back for revenge. Others say that she's the personification of the ocean. Instead of putting these rumors to rest Ronnie prefers to let them boil, letting people's imagination run ahead of them. This has created a terrifying image of who Ronnie is, causing her to be one of the most feared pirates around.
Once again, legends have emerged but not only about Ronnie, but also the crew of the High Tide themselves. Others who have encountered this vicious bunch say that they are demons or all ghosts. The ship is said to be a ghost ship, able to disappear and reappear at will. The lore that revolves around Ronnie, the High Tide and its crew are countless and continue to contribute to their infamousness.
Appearance
Physical Traits
Ronnie's eyes are quite rare and are the core of many of the legends. Not many people possess wild, uncontrollable, and white hair along with jade-colored eyes. Her lithe, catlike limbs give her an interesting appearance, that of something like an elf. Other than her hair and eyes there are really no definable features.
