Appearance

Tir'Coatl strikes an imposing figure, the Naga Warlord standing nearly eight feet at his full height, towering over the majority of lesser races. Dark green scales adorn his figure, crimson war-paint scrawled upon them at times of battle. Long claws stretch out at the end of muscular arms, with the Naga's tail stretching behind him a considerable amount. The armor he dons is gilded with the finest gold available within the island of Nagai, its surface molded to depict their shifting serpentine god. the Scaled King's favored weapon is a halberd, with long metallic spikes lining its sharpened edge.

Skills and Abilities

The Scaled King did not gain his title by chance. It was earned in the field of combat, taken from the blood of those that stood in his path and remained defiant. If he was to ever die, Tir'Coatl would ensure that it occurred on the chaos of a bloodied battlefield than the peace of old age, with his kind as the victor. His skills in melee combat and military leadership are known throughout the tribes, a major factor in his dominance among the weaker Naga tribes.

Though his physical prowess should not be understated, it is only part of Tir'Coatl's unrivaled success. His tribe possesses a gift of the Serpent, one that had been kept within their ranks for as long as their history had been passed down. Among the other tribes, they had been referred to as tiskuani - Lifedrinkers, an apt description. The discovery of blood magic had shaped their culture in unimaginable ways, allowing them to drain the essence of others to extend their own, to strengthen themselves in combat, and to achieve feats that would take years in a matter of weeks. The price - the life of others - means little.

Personality

To call Tir'coatl cold-blooded would be a reasonable description, both in the literal and figurative sense. The notion of kindness without gain is inconceivable to the unyieldingly practical Naga, and mercy means little if there is more use of them as a slave - or a sacrifice.

However, that is not to say he is devoid of kindness. His people are constantly at the forefront of his mind, and his desire to see them thrive knows no bounds. Despite initial perception, he is not a mindless beast bent on further enslavement and massacre. He is intelligent and cunning, being a major reason behind his tribe's rapid technological advancement, quickly adapting tools the lesser races had utilized for the Naga. If he believes a person could prove to be useful to his people as more than a slave or a source of blood than they would be spared and tolerated amongst them for as long as they continue to be of use.

Biography & Lore

The Tiskuani lifedrinkers, though they were blessed with incredible magic by Qetsaal, were always a solitary clan. Under the reign of Tir'Coatl's father, the Tiskuani remained isolated from the Naga tribes, with the rare interaction during a collective raid on the mainland.

When Tir'Coatl took the throne, the course of the Tiskuani shifted forever. No longer did they remain in the background, quietly managing themselves as the other tribes expanded further and further. Tir'Coatl grew an immense distaste for the seemingly shy persona the Naga had taken, as they shied away from making any impact onto the world stage beyond being a mere nuisance. The Skinned Ones deserved to know of their strength, of their power, and he was destined to show them.

The years that followed were best known by the rapid succession of wars that took place as the Tiskuani suddenly surged throughout Nagai, assimilating the willing and enslaving the ignorant. Upon noticing his immense growth, many tribes willingly submitted. When Tir'Coatl revealed the power held by his people, more flocked to his banner. Thus began the Kingdom of Samksaya.

Samksaya surged throughout the Ixchel Wilds, capturing mines and establishing outposts as they prepared for their debut onto the world stage...
