Roughly dressed with a haggard, exhausted look, Talathan Rook looks like anything but the everyday citizen, dressed in a simple, brown robe common to the slaves of the Black Bay.

Contrary to his name, Rook has the ability to shapeshift into a large, powerful osprey. He can also take on demiforms of the same breed, gaining the power of flight… and some characteristics of the nervous bird.

Nervous and anxious of everything, Rook does have a defiant streak, willing to do anything for his freedom. He is wary of everyone, even those who help him, for he never knows when they might turn on him and sell him back to the slavers. He does not know the meaning of platonic friendship.
