Appearance

Signe stands tall at five feet eleven inches which is around the average height for a Nordenfiir woman. The first facial feature you’ll recognise of her are those highly distinctive dark blue eyes that she possess. Her face is slightly-oval in shape, her nose pert, and her lips a healthy shade of pink. Her hair is a dark shade of chestnut brown that may appear to be a lighter or darker hue, depending on the lighting conditions. She usually wears her hair free and unadorned and it falls several inches down her shoulders. Her skin is fair with a healthy amount of freckles that are especially prominent on her cheeks and her forehead. They also boasts a hint of golden undertones and is blemished by the signs of healed battle scars and other such wounds. Focused and expressive, her eyes are like the windows to her soul, and tends to carry a message even when her lips doesn’t.

She can usually be seen with some form of war paint of her face, although it is nothing too detailed, just some simple markings here and there. Like all Nordenfiir, her figure is befitting that of a warrior with her fair share of muscles gained from her highly physical lifestyle. Her bust is of a moderate size, and her hips slightly curvier than average. She is often seen clad in metal armour along with furs and leather. She does carry with her an assortment of trinkets such as wooden totems, skulls and various satchels and bags on her body. An axe and sword hangs at either side, and a round painted shield is slung at her back, its surface slightly worn and scratched by the constant use it has seen over the years. She also can be seen carrying a bow and a quiver of arrows in place of a shield at times.

Her sense of smell is powerful like those of her kin, while her strong earthy scent is not something easily hidden. She does suffer from a pollen allergy and can often be seen sneezing when flowers are near. Possessing an immense amount of strength and stamina, she can also withstand a huge amount of pain, exhaustion and toleration for cold. Her meal choices can be considered quite odd for the average human, but mostly average when it comes to Nordenfiir culture. A red glyph that marks the sign that of a bear shifter can be seen on her right chest, just above her bust.

Skills and Abilities

Sword/Axe & Shield
Like all Nordenfiir, she has been trained since young to fight in combat, and close quarters combat with sword/axe and shield is something she is especially proficient in.

Bow & Arrow
Just as handy with a bow as she is with a sword in her hand, she likes to pick her enemies off with her uncanny accuracy, before unleashing hell when they come up close.

Svalen
She completed her pilgrimage just a little over six years ago, and is still very much learning with the use of her bear form and how to better harness its potential. Nevertheless, it is still a great ability to have, as an Nordenfiir can attest, and can be counted as a useful tool in her arsenal.

Hunter
Signe also possesses the mark of a great hunter with her incredibly powerful sense of smell and tracking abilities, she is able to track game and people across tundra and ice-covered forests.

Personality

Inquisitive, guided-by emotion, adventurous, strong-willed, determined, persistent.

Signe can be fierce and loud when she needs to, and quiet and unassuming when she needs to, whenever a situation calls for it. Not one to hide in a corner and hope things go her way, she is assertive and isn’t afraid to make her opinions be known.

She relishes challenges no matter the size and is known to have a competitive streak. What most would be surprised about is that the lass is actually rather crude. Be it letting loose a string of insults and vulgarities to terms and actions of affection, she is equally unfazed. She is curious about plenty of things and in most cases, will not hesitate to satiate her curiosity. Emotionally-driven, she can be especially passionate about certain things, and her strong will towards other matters can cause her to be incredibly stubborn and hard of reasoning at times. She is persistent, and not a quitter, so once she puts her mind to a task, you can be sure that she’ll try until she succeeds or know otherwise.

Biography & Lore

Signe was born to a hunter and a shield maiden in the Nordenfiiri settlement Hjerim in the western mountain peaks of Nordengaard. They weren’t exceptional or famous people, but they were great at what they did. Her father was an exceptional gifted hunter that supplied the settlement with more than plenty of food and skins and furs, while her mother was a brave and skilled shield maiden that served the Jorn Thurna with utmost dedication and loyalty.

Signe grew up to be the best of both worlds, learning from both her father and her mother and was just as adept in hunting as she was in fighting. It wasn’t surprising for her to start her path as a shield maiden of Hjerim as she grew up, and while she excelled at what she did, and learnt to survive, hunt and kill and wield a weapon with just as much ferocity and tenacity as any Nordenfiiri warrior, she slowly discovered that the life of a shield maiden was not for her.

She had a curiosity for the lands that lay beyond the western mountains of Nordengaard, and she did not want to be cooped up in the settlement forever. After her pilgrimage and finding her Svalen, she did not return back home to Hjerim. She left to find her path in life, and has since travelled all over the world, trying to find her place in a world bigger than she could ever imagine.
