The McCallister clan is an ancient clan of monster hunters that go back generations to their founder. At first, they had to worry about getting vampirism and in time they learned and saw that lycanthropy has certain forms that allow the infected individual to control when they shift. The clan leader at the time decided to use lycanthropy as a weapon against other monsters. However, it did not come into being safe.

Many of their own clanmates died in the desire to get a perfect strain, one which allowed them to take the actual form of a wolf with almost all the desirable traits for hunting. Some had to be put down due to going crazy in wolf form, others just went crazy all together.

Some who ran into the clan say they operate as an actual wolf pack. With their own ranks and with one pack leading them all. Others say that they're just a normal family. There are even rumors that they worship the Dark Ones.

Dark Ones

The McCallisters secretly worship the Dark Ones, most of them. As they each symbolize the lycan side of their family.
The hunger for the hunt, the void for the loss of sight, the silence in the wolf, and the destruction of the body. They forgot long ago who started it but ever since the worshipping started but since it did they noticed certain changes in their forms.

Some gotten larger, others turn smokey like demons with large long fangs among a few other mutations. They use their hunts as a form of sacrifice to the Dark Ones as well as the death of those who did not and could not cope with the infection. Often times many of the members who go on these hunts do not know who they are sacrificing to and only the clan leader knows.

Their faith is strong however and they will do what is necessary as their leader tells them. As their leader tells them to call the actual Dark Ones by a different name but all the same time they worship them as a result.
