Though a young and minor Noble House, House Tal'deneshaar has gained popularity with the common folk due to its views on service to the masses.

Hierarchy

House founder and former lord, Stryfe ruled for some time before his perceived disappearance and later, death. In his absence, his wife, the Lady Tal'deneshaar would lead until their oldest son Rangvaldr attained the rank of knight. While Rangvaldr travels, control once more shifts to his mother.

Rules

The House only follows one major rule: they exist to serve the will of the people. A member of the house will never turn away a person in need. They are ultimately defenders of the weak.

Intent

ICly, House Tal'deneshaar seeks to better the lives of the common man, through service, training, or donations. Unlike many noble houses, they do not horde their wealth, instead, they use it to better their own serfs. They do not have the mind nor the intent to ever compete for the throne of Vel Anir and are content supporting the major houses.

OOCly, to carry over a family I have rp'd in the past to the site and build up backstory.

Lore

Years ago, Stryfe Tal'deneshaar, a roaming knight, his wife, and a dozen followers would arrive in the areas surrounding Vel Anir. They would start with the construction of Caer Tal'deneshaar, and begin to expand in the area around it. After years of stalwart service to Vel Anir and the people, Stryfe would be recognized as a Lord, and granted a manor house within the limits of Vel Anir.

The young House would then ignite like a wildfire as more of the peasantry flocked to Caer Tal'deneshaar and began to build up the village surrounding it. The keep would gain renown for its blacksmiths as well as the quality of knights they trained and would serve as outpost for their fortress city. While Caer Tal'deneshaar thrived, Stryfe and his family would live in the Manor House where they would interact with other nobles and the like.

They would remain there for some years until both Lord Stryfe disappeared and the Manor House caught ablaze. Though the cause would never be discovered, the Lady Tal'deneshaar would move herself and her sons to Caer Tal'deneshaar until eventually her oldest, Valdr attained knighthood and rose to patriarch of the House. Drastus would remain at the Manor House until he was taken into the Academy by the Dreadlords. With Valdr out adventuring, leadership has once more fallen to the well-loved Lady of the House.

House Tal'deneshaar's main exports are arms and armor, mercenary troops, and what little extra resources it can spare or pay tribute to Vel Anir with. Though some of their beliefs may be suspect to other Noble Houses of Vel Anir, the people that live under their rule thrive and have great appreciation for the House. Any can join the House, through squireship to the Knights or bringing desired skills to Caer Tal'deneshaar. Their castle and village are a safe haven for all races.
