A quaint little town just outside Fal'Addas, Fal'Raheal is a place that conflict does not seem to touch. Here, species mix in relative harmony and is a place for merchants to rest their wares for a while, before heading to the big city.

Overview

Demographic

Fal'Raheal is filled with a mix of all the major species. While originally the town was mostly elves, over time it has grown into a mini-melting pot of sorts. Due to this, a huge number of half-lings can be seen around various places. Merchants are also a common sight. Most of the population either go into Fal'Addas for their livelihoods or market their goods in the town itself.

Architecture

Most of the houses are either made of wood or stone, the interiors being more personal in accordance with the inhabitant's preferences. A small lake resides in the town-square, with the branches of overgrown groves hanging over the still surface. The structures are close to each other, and a natural opening made from trees makes the entrance/exit point of the town. Usually it's quite calm, with only the bustling of the town-square making some good-natured noise.

Points of Interest

The Lake is a centre-point of activity for the woodland creatures, and is a great way for cooling in the summer. People often gather around the lake to socialise, with the more romantic ones considering it an ideal place for courtship.

The Town-Square is the main lifeblood for the inhabitants, being the place where most outsiders come to sell/buy items. It's also the place where any quest or news from the city is posted, so it's very noisy. Everything from hand-crafted items to fresh produce is sold here.

The Taverns is the hotspot for merchants from outside. A number of them are established through the place, with the most popular one being in the town-square. Delicious food of all kinds is served within these establishments, and it's not uncommon for trvelling entertainers to regularly make an income here.

History

Originally just a small Elven village, it slowly grew from the people who used it's numerous taverns as a resting spot before heading for Fal'Addas. Having had a tolerant view of all species, it allowed for free-mixing among the Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Humans, etc. who settled here, which led to inter-species marriage and half-lings of all kinds.
