Lia is an incredibly head strong and determined woman. Ever since childhood she has shown a singular drive to become one of the greatest warriors in all of Arethil.

Though she is far from the best, Lia has been working for most of her life to master various techniques. Her service within the Allirian Rangers has set her apart from many of her childhood companions, and this distance has set her to become a rather stoic and even broody figure.

Nevertheless, Lia is not without her charms.

A young and rather beautiful woman in her own way, Lia knows well who and what she is. She takes great pains to present herself not as a damsel in distress, but a confident and strong warrior. She almost always carries at least once of her swords and more often than not prefers to simply wear her armor no matter where she is.

Though she has only recently joined the Allirian Rangers, many of her peers already hold a great amount of respect for her simple due to the drive she has shown. This of course is not perfect, and Lia has encountered quite a bit of adversity when working with certain Nobles found throughout the Allirian Reaches.

Despite this, Lia is proud of her role within the Rangers. She takes great care to practice and improve herself on a daily basis. Unlike many, she spends her time off within the Outposts practicing the sword and the aim of her crossbow.

Though she has worked hard to get where she is today, Lia is still just a rookie. She is missing many of the skills that more experience Rangers have, and she is constantly striving to catch up with them.

Appearance

Lia in every way presents herself as a member of the Allirian Rangers.

Though if she tried she could probably match most Princesses, Lia instead prefers to put on a facade of professionalism and uniform. Almost always wearing her armor and never without her sword, the young woman is a picture of what an Allirian Ranger should look like.

The light platemail she wears is neither polished nor perfect, dozens of scratches and several dents line the armor marking it as well used in combat. The rest of her clothing match this motif, with most of her cloaks and under shirts carrying some marks of the living within the Allirian Reaches.

It's obvious in the way that she carries herself that Lia takes her job incredibly seriously. She is stoic and square shouldered, matching many of the elder Rangers in both demeanor and attitude.

Of course, despite this common attire, Lia grew up within a fairly wealthy family. If pressed she is more than capable of dressing up for the situation, and more than once the Rangers have sent her to one formal function or another to represent their interests.

Skills and Abilities

Lia is an exceptional swordsman and warrior. Having trained and worked towards her goal of joining the Allirian Rangers for most of her life, the young woman has shown quite the gift for multiple forms of combat.

Though far from the status of blademaster, Lia nevertheless shows proficiency with the use of her longsword. She is more than capable of holding her own against most opponents, even those larger than her. Due to her diminutive size Lia has learned to adapt her fighting style, never utilizing direct confrontation but instead weaving in and out of a fight.

This allows her smooth and quick actions in combat, and has earned her some acclaim within the Rangers themselves.

Unfortunately, her focus on the sword has left her lacking in many avenues. She is not very good with a bow, instead relying upon a crossbow, a rare thing among the Rangers.

She has no magical ability or incilination, though her training in the Rangers has made her an exceptional survivalist and tracker. Lia seems to have a natural gift for scoping out and investigating things, something that has come in handy more than once.

Of course, her rather stoic nature doesn't earn her many friends. Most people find her demeanor rather off-putting.

Biography & Lore

Lia was born to a moderately affluent family within Alliria. Her father was not on the Merchant Council, but was instead a founding member of a small Merchant guild that handled trade with lands in the east. This business lead to him holding a sizable fortune.

Though not the richest man in Alliria, Lia's father was wealthy enough to own a manor within the Inner-City.

Originally coming from more humble origins, Lia's father always maintained it was important to understand where one came from. He worked hard to ensure that the sailors and captains within the Guild were well paid and supplied. He also often gave to philanthropic ventures.

Along with this Lia's father was also heavily invested within maintain and funding the order known as the Allirian Rangers.

This group was originally created hundreds of years ago by the various Merchant Guilds within Alliria. They are not technically sanction by the Merchant Council nor any other government or Nobles, and thus do not perform the same function as the Allirian City Guard. Instead the Rangers act more as an unofficial police force throughout the Allirian Reaches.

They do not technically enforce laws, but rather perform tasks such as hunting bandits, tracking murderers, and ensuring that caravans arrive at their destination safely. They are an independent group, funded by various wealthy merchants and nobles. They fight in no wars, take part in no battles, and instead focus on ensuring the survival of the People within the Reaches.

Her fathers dealings with the Rangers lead Lia to have an early obsession with the group.

From a young age she idolized the ideal of the Rangers, seeing them keep her fathers employees safe and traveling around the Reaches doing good. It was at the age of ten that Lia declared to her father that she intended on joining the Rangers.

Though the idea was laughable, and her mother was furious, her father nonetheless supported her.

For the next decade Lia trained as best she could. Her father would hire tutors, swordsman, hunters, and trackers to teach her all they could. Eventually at the age of twenty Lia applied and was subsequently inducted into the Allirian Rangers.

For the next four years she was trained further by the Rangers themselves, going on various escort missions and gradually working her way up to the rank of Sergeant.

She now continues her work there, often acting as a Tracker and funnily enough Social representative for the Rangers themselves.
