Pockets

Appearance

Pockets is short and slim, with long, nimble fingers, about half the height and a third the weight of his drow counterparts. "Highly portable!" as he likes to put it. He wears well used but well kept workshop leathers and an array of tool and utility belts, with pockets galore, hence his nickname. He is bald, with silver eyebrows and amethyst-colored eyes.

Skills and Abilities

As an artificer, Pockets can quickly craft temporary shelters, ladders, ramps, and other useful structures that will typically hold up for about a day's use. He is knowledgeable in alchemy, and has a special interest in Underrealm fungi, monster organs, and minerals that are acidic or explosive, and appropriate binders and reagents. He can improvise explosives to cave in walls, punch through doors, or set traps. He can also tinker more permanent handiworks, but only in a properly equipped workshop with extra materials on hand for trial and error. His enchanted spanner can unstick stuck bolts and gives him advantage when repairing or sabotaging structures or devices. He is also a proficient locksmith, able to pick or otherwise defeat complex locks and dismantle traps.

As a Svirflegnome, Pockets is resistant to magic, adept at hiding in any surroundings, and capable of magically disguising himself once per day. He can see in low light as though it were full daylight and can see 120 feet in total darkness. His walking and running speed is lightly slower than big folk.

Personality

Pockets is a natural improviser who enjoys creating a good bit of mayhem. He is jovial with a black sense of humor, playfully predicting the team's imminent demise as a possible consequence of nearly every major decision.

Biography & Lore

Tinkering is in Pockets' blood. Both his parents were tinkers. He had just recently started a workshop of his very own when Dalrithia invaded and destroyed his hometown. He improvised traps and sabotaged a bridge to escape. He heard how Vyx'aria's people got rid of Dalrithia and how she works with other races, and offered to rent his services to her for a fair wage, until he earns enough coin to reestablish his shop. He hasn't decided yet whether to build it in Zar'Ahal or back in the eventually-sure-to-be-built New Bringlecartengemmern.
