Appearance

A woman who unfortunately stands at 5’4, a very unimpressive height although Noa carries herself as if she were much taller. The next thing one is likely to notice about her is that she is blind, her irises so faded that it appears as if she has none. The next, the scars on her face, specifically the largest two: the one that goes down her left eye and the diagonal scar across her full lips. Lastly, one most definitely sees a glimpse of Noa’s plethora of colorful ink. Majority of these tattoos are hidden underneath her attire(arms, torso, back, chest) but many have caught glimpses of the masterpiece that tells of flowers, birds, monkeys, tigers, dragons, snakes, and meditation rituals of Cais Vihara. Scars can be found throughout her figure.

Slenderly built and petite, Noa is not the strongest of the knights nor the fastest. Those that underestimate her because of this fact soon learn that that is their first and last mistake. Despite often being stationary in battle, it’s when she begins to move that her enemies and opponents should be worried.

Has pretty features, not that she can see them or can care much about them. A deep feminine voice that many find attractive yet unusual for her doll-like face.

Skills and Abilities

SKILLS:

Sword Master
- Noa can wield two swords, much to everyone’s dismay (because she’s blind, is it really wise to give a blind knight two swords???), and she is considered advanced in single or dual wielding. It is very rare that Noa ever uses both swords at the same time.

Enhanced hearing and smell- because of being blind and perhaps due to her magic, Noa’s sense of smell and sense of hearing is greater than many humanoid species.

Savant with stringed instruments- Noa specifically focuses on playing sanshins, a three-string instrument that uses wood for the “neck” that holds the silk strings and stretched python skin on the instruments “body.” A hollow fang is used as the pick for the instrument. She can expertly play many other string instruments with ease or quickly learn how to play a new one.

Meditation- the monks at Cais Vihara specialize in meditation and the healing prowess of water, for the body, mind and soul. The pursuit of life aids her in meditation for healing purposes but it has been noted that she follows the principles and practices of the monks unblemished by Pursuit of Life unless in dire circumstances.

Can communicate with Ne- no one really knows how they do it, but they share a sort of telepathy with one another. Ne is a valuable friend and asset to Noa.

Is able to easily fight in tandem with other knights, whether they have worked together before or not. This is at a masterful level and some call it Noa’s most fearsome skill.

Not a notable or commendable skill but Noa has been known to hold her weight in liquor and carbs.

ABILITIES:

Pursuit of the Loch

Illusion-based magic- works in tandem with smoke and sound.

Smoke (magic)- mostly used for support/summoning. Can be offensive.

Sound (magic)- mostly used for support tactics such as weakening opponents, buffing comrades or herself/Ne.

Summoning- summons a few creatures to aid her.

Notable Attacks:

Noa creates a domain that locks her and others within a certain radius until a rule has been met. Often she does this with her foes, making it so they’re unable to run away. Unfortunately, she also can’t run away unless she dies or completes the requirement to end the domain.

Noa uses smoke or sound to give her proprioception of a surrounding area within a certain radius. Often used with her smoke domain.

Noa uses smoke to create clones of herself although these clones are just that: smoke. They are unable to harm anyone and can easily be dispelled by someone even blowing air at them but are mainly used for distractions.

Noa can use sound to stun opponents for a very short moment.

Noa can use sound that dazes an opponent in the sense that they can still move or enact an action but their accuracy drops.

Noa uses sound to buff her or other’s stats, based on the type of note she is playing. Often she uses this on long journeys to keep morale high and tensions low.

Noa often summons a series of snakes from smoke and has a telepathic connection with them. This is the main reason why she is able to stay stationary. These snakes are lethal and can attack opponents.

Ne

Ne is first and foremost, Noa’s protector. No one understands what Ne is exactly, after all there is something ethereal about them. Some claim it’s some minor, lesser god of the Vale, others say it’s a fae in disguise. Whatever Ne is, Ne is Noa’s closest and truest friend.

Ne will often fight alongside Noa, and has a mind of his own. Noa can order Ne around but ultimately it’s up to Ne whether they listen or not.

Personality

Noa is rather cool and carefree, having a apathetic attitude on the outside despite caring very much on the inside about many little things. She is a rather amiable individual for she fears very little. Often considered to be rather brazen in battle for wanting to fight bigger and badder foes. At times she can disregard instructions but more often than not she tends to be dutiful and diligent. A good natured individual that does believe in the knight’s cause.

Tends to make friends easily, from the youngest child to the grumpiest old man who yells at everyone to get off their lawn, she is often well liked and well received. Animals seem to flock to her as well although that could be because of Ne.

Hardly ever gets angry and even if she were to be upset, it doesn’t last longer and never reaches past a simmer.

Biography & Lore

Noa was born forlorn and forgotten, blind and broken. She was found in the dark forest that surrounded the Eldyr Tree, a albino tiger carrying her haphazardly in it’s jaws until a monk spotted them. The monk from Cais Vihara brought her to the water temple, if only to give the newborn a few moments of peace before it died. Much to the surprise of everyone, Noa didn’t die. The next day she was found with the strange tiger from before somehow managing to enter her room and guard her.

Months passed. Her bones healed. The tiger never left her side. The monks understood this as some sort of divine intervention from the old gods of the Vale. There were suspicions that she wasn’t human, perhaps fae or a changeling, something that didn’t belong. She wasn’t given a name and instead she was known as girl. Despite being different, the monks of Cais Vihara cared for her and her tiger, teaching her their ways.

At the age of fifteen was when a previous knight from anathema came to Cais Vihara and saw the girl being led around the monastery by the tiger. The monks were right to understand that the girl was unique, but she was indeed human. A human with the ability to harness magic. She was brought to the knights of anathaeum and was finally given a name: Noa. Her guardian was also given a name, Ne. Motion and sound, two things that Noa would learn to incorporate in her unique fighting style.
