Appearance

As is expected of a daughter of a merchant house, Nerisyrre Evenlight was born a natural beauty with several noteworthy features. Her eyes are, perhaps, the most immediate trait. Natrually golden, as per her mother's sun-elf heritage, she was also born with a small off-colored segment. Manifesting blue-white, the bottom two-thirds of her left eye is affected. As per her family's unique heritage, her ears are somewhere between elven and human, elongated and yet still rounded at the tips. When combined with her large eyes and slim features, she rather has a doe-like look that is common among her relatives.

Her hair is a vibrant strawberry blonde, a pinkish-orange that is most similarly compared to apricots when in direct sunlight. Having only trimmed it over her twenty-four years of life, it is unreasonably long, with a natural wave and curl that makes brushing it out every evening and morning a necessary task. She wears it up in a variety of braids and curls, and is quite adept at fashioning it herself -- one of the few aspects of her life she was allowed to dictate.

Otherwise, there isn't anything too spectacular about her outward appearance. She is pretty in a common symmetrical manner, fair in the way that all beautiful maidens seem to be, and of an average height. Her identical twin sister has the same features, lacking the off-colored eye, making them a pair of pretty average noble girls.

Skills and Abilities

Gardening - She loves to garden and has one powerful green thumb. There is no magic involved in her tending of plants, unless love and patience are considered a form of magic.

Magic - Syrre is naturally inclined to some magic. With a proper education and tools to learn how to better wield this power. She has a particular penchant for healing magic, though the thought of pursuing this skill is a new one.

Instruments - Raised in affluence, she had access to a plethora of instruments during her art education. Syrre has a surprising and stunning alto voice, and she can play the harp, lute, and pianoforte proficiently. She generally despises playing the flute and other wind instruments, her ocarina being the only exception.

Embroidery - Picked up when she was very young, she is (of course) proficient with this skill. She tends to rely on this hobby as a means to unwind when she is under stress, trying to make something positive out of a negative.

Biography & Lore

Nerisyrre Mysse Evenlight was the firstborn child of Leldall and Endefai Evenlight, shortly before her twin sister, Selte. A year and a half later, their mother delivered a brother, Avell.

Once a notable lesser human house in Vel Anir, the marriage of a younger son to an elf from Fal'Addas to foster relations between houses in the two cities would prove to be the end of the Evenlight family's human heritage. After a series of accidents the young man would become the heir and patriarch of the family, and because of his wife's influence, his heirs would subsequently begin marrying into half-elf and elven families from outside of Vel Anir.

As a result, they are among the few elven noble houses in Vel Anir, as well as having some very distinct characteristics that highlight their mixed heritage. Their long, rounded ears are most noted, as well as their peculiar aging -- growing very similar to humans through adolescence before reaching a plateau of aging in young adulthood. While their lifespans are far shorter than that of the average elf, they live considerably longer than humans. In spite of the rampant prejudice in Vel Anir, they have managed to carve out their place among the merchant houses thanks to the strength of their connections with Fal'Addas. Though their legacy is far from that of one of the Seven Houses, some maneuvering of their daughters has recently opened up the prospect to integrate into one such House.
