Goddess of the Hunt,

Appearance

She has shared many bodies since the beginning of time, but The Bow's current form is a young elven woman bearing mousy brown hair and green eyes. Like most elves, she is lithe and carries herself well, with no features that would distinguish her from any other elf passing by.

Those fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to be at the end of her bow, as well as her brother, would see her true form. A ghastly fae woman with long white hair, glowing blue eyes and an overall ethereal appearance.

Skills and Abilities

Druid
Mara and her brother are essentially druids. They both share the ability to communicate with and transform into animals. In her earlier years, they often both traveled as wolves. However, since resting her blade she prefers a doe when she is not playing the role of mortal.
The Mark of Death
She is also one of the Twin Hunters of Death. If one has cheated death or is ready to cross over, she will appear in her true form and swiftly end their life with a silver arrow.

Personality

Unlike her brother, Mara is generally quite kind. Though she has no ability to recall her past lives, her personality has been shaped by her plethora of existences, just as hers has shaped the area around her during these lives.

She takes pride in her task as The Bow, though she does not find enjoyment in bringing death. She understands that her swift silver arrows bring balance to the living. She does feel constant remorse for the pain she used to cause those undeserving of death.

She has held many positions throughout the millennia, from a common street urchin to royalty. Elf to Fae. She is remarkably intelligent and has always (and will always) take pride in her ability to plot and think things through, rather than make impulsive and often dangerous decisions as her brother does.

Biography & Lore

The Goddess of the Hunt, The Beast and the Bow
In the beginning, there was one being created to maintain the balance between life and death. A cruel and ruthless being without needs, wants, or emotion. A being that was tasked to bring death to those unfortunate enough to cross paths with it. As years passed, however, the being's soul would split into two which would continue the task as a pair, the twin blades, with personalities becoming more distinct.

The Bow was one half of the twin spirit, the older sister to a twin brother. The thousands of lives her spirit has lived has slowly driven her from the feral and feared creature she once was, allowing her to adjust to society with ease. Over those years, she observed how the unjust deaths affect those around her and began to resent the task she was born to carry out.

Despite the resentment, she did not immediately rest her blade. Death was a necessity for balance.

She had began to spare those who were not yet ready for death. When The Beast discovered her secret, he hunted down those she spared and killed them, leaving their bloodied corpses for her to find. That was when she cast her blade aside, swearing to never bring another unjust death to the people of the Falwood

She will continue to maintain the balance of life and death to those who are ready.

And she will kill The Beast.
