Personality

Lord Marbas is a innately deceptive and possessive, considering all beings and creatures to be little more than pets. Marbas is often highly egotistical when spoken, and is a stickler for using more noble dialogue whenever possible to help orchestrate this. That being said, Marbas, like many demons, can be practical if given the right opportunity, and is willing to contract with just about anyone to ensure he gets his way.

Biography & Lore

Lord Marbas is a mysterious Demon with a high interest in the realm of the mortals. Able to traverse the mortal realm without being summoned, Marbas' signature contracts involve the gift of various sorts of knowledge & power, but at the cost of several souls killed in his name in the span of one pnerian cycle. If unable to meet the demand for souls in that time, the loaner is taken back to the realm of the Demons as their soul is made forfeit.

It is not yet known what his interest is with creatures or sentient beings, but most banned texts on him paint the Lord as a highly inquisitive being, constantly searching for new information. For this reason, it has been rumored that high-valued information has been exchanged for power, negating the need for souls, but even the top heretics are unable to verify its accuracy given the deceptive nature of Marbas' contracts.

Current heretical records have not found a direct means of summoning him, but point towards offerings made up of various Lion parts burnt over a Bonfire while in chant.
