Appearance

"He was as if a shadow, there, but not truly. As if you would reach out to feel nothingness. I'd almost forgotten he was in the room with us."

Typical of his race, Dor'agon bears a lizard-like appearance, though he differs from the Naga in that he has two legs and sports no tail. His scales are a dark grey, often adorning a white paint for use in rituals. Towering over the common man, even while slouching, Dor'agon stands at 7' feet while slouched, 8' upright. Though tall, the Xo'vosh is lanky, thin with broadened shoulders and draped in a black mage's robe and hood. He can often be seen wearing a skull as a helmet, believing it to assist in the conjuring of and connection to the dead.

Skills and Abilities

"Do you think it evil? To grant those forgotten another taste of the air? To call them forth from a restless slumber? To give them purpose once more or perhaps for the first time?"

Necromancer - As limited as his schooling was, Dor'agon was a practiced mage, perhaps the greatest in his village, even from an early age. He was a natural, magic arts of all sorts coming to him effortlessly where his compatriots struggled as, curiously, Dor'agon never shared the aversion to certain schools of magic his fellow mages held. Despite his progress, the magical knowledge within his village was rudimentary at best, and the Xo'vosh was left dissatisfied with what he could learn there. Following years of unorthodox study away from the prying eyes of the other mages, Dor'agon unlocked the power to resurrect the dead and bind them to his will, though this process often backfires, the results often bearing futile resurrections that disappear as quickly as they are conjured. His obsession with the practice grew so extensive that it took precedence over all other forms of magic in his application and study.

"I smelled you as soon as you'd left your house. I assure you it wasn't because you needed a bath."

Enhanced Sensory Abilities - A natural ability of his race, Dor'agon possesses the ability to detect creatures via "tasting" the chemicals within the air, much like a snake. This has often lead to unfavorable sensations, but it is not without its benefits.

"I've neither the need nor the desire to be instructed by some second-rate mage with more ear than brain."

Arrogant - Few can impress Dor'agon. Fewer who are not of his own race. Dor'agon holds little respect for anyone, and he prefers to keep himself closed off from the rest of the world, especially following the disappearance of his wife, E'lora. This has often lead to some less-than-rational decision making on his part, particularly when it comes to personal subjects. And elves.

"Were I not so kind I would have convinced you to cut out your own tongue. Perhaps I should have."

Manipulative - Few things can keep Dor'agon from getting what he wants. He has a silver tongue, able to whisper lies into the ears of kings. Few can match his charisma. Unfortunately, such a talent has the tendency to blacken the soul, no matter his intentions.

Personality

"I summoned a demon once. It was positively boring."

Few get to know Dor'agon, truly. This is not for lack of trying; he simply makes it difficult. The Xo'vosh is considerably abrasive, arrogant, and sarcastic. Perhaps a little racist as well. He is generally self-serving despite his protests of the notion. However, most of this stems from his desire to remain apathetic. Only one person has managed to break through his rough exterior. Dor'agon prefers to keep things professional and to avoid the entanglements of sentiment and compassion, though no one is certain as to why. Despite all this, rarely, there is a small kindness to him, though its appearance is often short-lived. He remains quietly passionate and motivated, abhorring laziness.

Biography & Lore

"Regret is the harshest infliction."

Born into a small village of Xo'vosh just outside the reach of the Naga, Dor'agon was a quiet child, often keeping to himself and reserving his personality for those closest to him. He was a shining symbol of discipline and progress in schooling, particularly in the field of magic, a study with great emphasis placed upon it within his race's culture. Unlike his fellow students, however, Dor'agon held no harsh feelings regarding and form of magic, instead viewing each as an admirable course of study and in equal standing. It was at this school that he met his wife, E'nora, the one person known to have cracked Dor'agon open.

Due to the limitations of the village's magical knowledge, Dor'agon, unfortunately, could only receive a broad study of magic. Graduating from the college was simple enough, and, E'nora beside him, Dor'agon elected to take to adventuring, exploring closed off tombs with E'nora as his partner to uncover magical knowledge locked away.

Upon their return to the village, E'nora soon vanished, though no one knows why, and no trace of her body was ever found.

Not long after, suspicions arose of Dor'agon's studies, many blaming him for her disappearance. Despite his protests of the accusation, the village all but cast him out, the final decision going to the Xo'vosh himself.

Now, Dor'agon wanders about the world alone, learning what he can to perfect his studies of the dead. Considerably rare, few know of his race, most often mistaking him for a Naga.
