Darmen Tarn
Appearance
Short and stocky, Darmen has an evenly toned build from his years of exercise and training. He keeps his long, dark hair tied back, exposing the numerous battle scars his face bears and a permanent and scruffy 5'o clock shadow. He is always carrying a minimum of two swords on his person, only ever leaving them with great hesitation.
Skills and Abilities
Darmen usually opts for light armor, often leather and sometimes chain. As a skirmisher he prized mobility above all else.
Ambidexterity: Capable with both hands and able to dual wield with ease
Swordsmanship: Darmen is a skilled and well-trained swordfighter, combining knowledge from his teachings alongside new styles of combat encountered in his travels. He is comfortable wielding even hefty swords one handedly; but will always have at least one light sword or rapier in hand. Rarely wields two handed weapons
Agility: He is nimble; climbing, balancing and acrobatic acts all come easily to him, thanks to a childhood of practice on his own. Combined with skill in ropework, Darmen can get into odd places and scale difficult terrain
Marksmanship: Trained with throwing weapons to a suitable degree, he still prefers to solve his problems by sword when possible

Personality
A bit brash, but of good nature, Darmen tends to give more respect to warriors than other professions. As far as he is concerned, to live by, fight with, and die from the sword is a noble life indeed; and bravery the true measure of worth to his mind.
He lives a free spirit, spending his coin as easily as it comes and taking any opportunity to explore new lands. Fealty and yielding willingly to authority are strange concepts to him, one that carried little care in his mind until he saw the bravery it inspired. Though he cannot understand it, he will respect it; but has no ultimate desire to serve any but self and friend.

Biography & Lore
Darmen had a life like many others, growing up in a village of proud fighters, taught by his father and brothers at a young age. Whatever time wasn't taken up with training, the young man spent on exploration. The freedom to leave his village and explore the great unknown world was an enticing thought, perhaps as much as battle . At 16 he enlisted as a skirmisher with the same mercenary company as his family, spending several years there to hone his fighting craft.
It would only be so long, as keeping in the same region year after year only increased the young man's restless. There was more out there in the world, and he had a trade that would never be out of demand. Thus, he finally bid his family and village farewell, opting to travel as a mercenary and sell-sword in adventure through the land.
